MemberHi jessebrede,
You can remove the reccurence option checkbox from the frontend under Events –> Settings. On the General tab, you’ll see the option for Front-end recurring event instances toggle. If that is unchecked, the option on the front end should disappear.

MemberHi everyone,
Sorry for the delay here. One of our developers has been working on this but we are so far unable to recreate the issue, but we will continue to look into this.
Can you please all post with your theme (if you haven’t already) and also, if you are running WooCommerce and/or any WooCommerce extensions? Also, please double check that you are running the latest version of our plugins, WooCommerce, any additional WooCommerce plugins, and your theme. That would help us to hone in on the issue at hand.
Thank you for your patience and support here.

MemberHi psasser,
Thanks for your post. You can make it show only one category of events with a custom menu link, as described in this FAQ. However, the url would be different. You could potentially have http://thecrossingchurch.com/calendar/ redirect to http://thecrossingchurch.com/events/category/calendar.
Let me know if I can be of further help here.

MemberHi Ellesse,
Thanks for your purchase! I’m sorry the calendar view is giving you trouble. Have you tried checking for a theme conflict? That might be all or part of the problem. You can check for a theme conflict by reverting back to the Twenty Twelve default theme. If the events show up with that theme, it suggests that there is a conflict. We can troubleshoot from there.
Thanks,

MemberHi Takuya,
I definitely see your point about the search. It really depends on your site, how many events you have, and who your users are. It definitely might make sense to make list view the default so that when people search they find all events with a keyword. You can always set the Calendar View as another option so customers can switch if they prefer that. However, there isn’t a way of forcing search results to display on a certain view, except for disabling all the other views. There’s a chance you could do that with some customizing, but that would be outside our scope of support. Does that answer your questions?

MemberHi jasonpixelsandpresscom
Sorry to hear you’re having trouble. Did you recently add a new plugin or change your theme? Sometimes that can conflict with things. Also, what versions of The Events Calendar and Evetns Calendar PRO are you running? And can you double check that they are both activated?
If you can check the above, we’ll troubleshoot from there.
Thank you,
LeahLeah
MemberHi Mike,
Events Calendar PRO doesn’t have any built in registration system. I see how WooCommerce Tickets and Eventbrite Tickets might be overkill, but they will work for free events as well, if you just want a list of attendees and other registration-type features. Let me know if I can be more specific or otherwise answer your questions.

MemberHi Heinz,
I’m sorry to hear your customer doesn’t like the new look. We don’t have anything like a v2 theme or another way to get v3 looking like v2. It sounds like your best bet might be to either to stay with 2.0.11 or to work on customizing v3 yourself to get it matching what she wants. If you’re interested in that route you might check out our Themer’s Guide, Intro to Template Overrides, and new documentation. We’ll do what we can to help you with the process.
Another option you have is to revert to the Classic Header in v3. That option is in Events –> Settings under Display. Instead of the new search bar, you’ll see something more like the dropdowns from v2.
For the list view description issue- if the excerpt field is not used, the description for list view is generated automatically from the event description. However, it will strip out any html in their, since the automated cut could interfere with html tags anyway. If you use the excerpt field and add html there, the tags should carry through and work on the front end.
Let me know if there’s anything else I can do here to help out.
Best,
