    Hey Adage,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

You can create a new taxonomy just for your venues using the register taxonomy function. The post type that you would be registering it for would be the “tribe_venue” post type.

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!

    Hey Christina,

Thanks for following up with that information.

The Map view will show points on the map associated with the events associated below that are currently displaying. If you paginate over to where the event is listed below (http://laudatosiweek.org/index.php/events/?action=tribe_geosearch&tribe_paged=3&tribe_event_display=map) you’ll see the event show on the map.

Additionally, if you search in PA using the search tools there the event will show up on the map view there.

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!

    Hey Deb,

Once adding that snippet, you should see the text “My instructions above the submission form” added above the form. You’ll add your text directly to the snippet and replace that particular wording with the wording that you would like to use there.

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!

    Hey Randi,

Would you mind sending me a link to an event that has the Tickets section for that event filled out with Tickets or an RSVP settings so I can take a closer look here? Could you also send a screenshot of the settings for the tickets added to that event? You can attach to the thread here.

    Thanks!

    Hey Ryan,

You can grab a database backup file using a plugin such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-db-backup/ and email it to us at support[at]theeventscalendar.com. Be sure to request the information be forwarded to Josh and include a link to this thread.

    Thanks!

    Hey Mikala,

Thanks for reaching out. Yes, all of our Calendar add-ons require the core version of the plugin that you find on WordPress.org. These should always be kept updated on your sites to the latest versions for them to work properly and as expected.

I’m glad you were able to get this one resolved. I’ll go ahead and close this thread for now. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to open a new one.

    Thanks!

    Hey Rhonda,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

I just tested out the snippet and it appears to be working as expected on my local install. When updating the array to match the slugs from the categories that you’re wanting to hide, make sure you’re updating in the actual snippet and not the note for the snippet at the top. I realize the wording there in the note for the snippet could be a little confusing on that front.

Also, this snippet will just hide it from the main calendar. You should still be able to access the category archive for that category so the link you provided as an example will still be accessible.

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!

    Hey Brian,

This filter allows the original cost field within the event settings to show back for the event. This is shown in the same metabox as the date, venue, organizer, etc. and will be under the “Event Cost” label there. This should be above the section shown in the screenshot you’ve shared.

Unless there is Event Tickets Plus and a cart solution added for the tickets, the cost field won’t show up within the actual tickets for the events. This is because there wouldn’t be a way for users to pay for those tickets without those other elements in place.

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!

    Hey Linda,

The theme author should be able to get you pointed in the right direction for adding the update from the snippet above to the correct location within your theme.

    Thanks!

    Hey Lluis,

I see what’s happening here. When using the URL field type, the additional fields output there will output a linked version of the value to itself so you would get something like “http://facebook.com“. This gets thrown off a little bit when trying to set the value of the field as the link within an tag.

The simplest way to use the value the way that you would like would be to change the field type to a traditional text field within your additional fields settings.

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!

    Hey Christina,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

That notice and option to reset should only show if the information is missing for the venues. It sounds like this information is properly set on your site.

Do you happen to have a link to your site where I can take a closer look at the map view there. There are a couple of potential issues that could be occurring here and seeing the issue live will help me to get you pointed in the right direction.

    Thanks!

    Hey Bryan,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Would you mind sending some screenshots for the settings that you are trying to change? The link above unfortunately is directing to a maintenance page.

    Thanks!

    Hey Randi,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Sure thing! You should be able to accomplish this by using the free Event Tickets plugin along with our Community Tickets and Community Events plugins that it appears you already have.

Have you tried setting this up with those plugins? If so, were you having specific issues with getting those set up or with the notifications there?

    Thanks!

    Hey Jeremy,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

It does look like that is ticketed to be looked at and potentially addressed in the next release, however I can’t guarantee that it will be released then.

I have added this thread to our internal ticket for tracking this one and you’ll be notified as we release the next version of the plugin on whether or not we were able to get the feature fully integrated at that time.

I’m sorry if this isn’t as direct of an answer as you may like but I do want to be completely honest and ensure that we don’t set expectations that we don’t meet.

    Thanks!

    Hey Matt,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Definitely not the ideal way for that to be working. Out of curiosity, would it be possible to get a database dump that includes the duplicated events so we can see the connection meta for the Facebook event.

    Thanks!
