ParticipantHey!
I’ve noticed you’ve marked the previous response as the correct answer. I’ll go ahead and close out this ticket but if you have any further questions in considering the purchase of our plugin, please don’t hesitate to open a new one.
Thanks!

ParticipantHello dkinney,
Thanks for following up and providing this additional information.
To be honest I’m a little confused as to why “/home/newselby/public_html/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/lib/tribe-amalgamator.php” would be triggering as the cause when trying to use TablePress.
Since I was unable to replicate, I wonder if the warning is a bit of a red herring. Would you mind running through the Testing for Conflicts procedures to see if another plugin could be causing the issue?
Let me know if anything turns up.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHello santafeplayhouse,
Thanks for following up with us!
The “Other” section which includes the Additional Fields information hooks into the previously mentioned template at the:
do_action( 'tribe_events_single_event_meta_primary_section_end' );h0ok. So, you can move the sections around the “Other” section by moving them around this hook within the file. Again, you’ll only want to modify this file once it’s been copied to your theme using our Themer’s Guide.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHello sharon,
This is possible, however it is more likely an issue with a custom taxonomy generated by the theme rather than the default posts categories. I’m led to believe this since the links worked with the default theme which would still have the post categories with the same name.
However, you can try renaming the categories to see if that fixes that issue.
Thanks!

I apologize for the inconvenience of this issue. Unfortunately since this is a theme related issue there isn’t too much help we can provide here in support. However, hopefully I can provide some helpful information that can get you pointed in the right direction.
The checkbox that you’ve selected within our plugin works with the main blog feed. So this would be the homepage within a default theme or the page selected as the blog feed within the “Settings” -> “Reading” tab of your WordPress settings.
Without intimate knowledge of your theme, it looks like the blog templates are custom templates that aren’t using the default blog feed. This means that the loop for the posts is probably being generated within the template. If this is the case, you can include “tribe_events” within the ‘post_type’ option within the query to get your events to display in that loop.
I’m sorry I wasn’t able to give you a direct response however I hope this was able to point you in the right direction.
Thanks!

ParticipantHello tracylove,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
This is definitely a strange issue to be having. Hopefully we can help to diagnose the root of the issue and get you pointed in the right direction for a solution.
As a first step, can you verify that you’ve followed the Testing for Conflicts procedures to ensure that this isn’t being caused by a theme or plugin conflict?
Let me know if following the procedures reveals a conflict or if you’re still experiencing the issue after pursuing those steps.
Thanks!

The ability to add the calendar on the homepage isn’t currently an option within our core plugin. However, you can accomplish this functionality by using the Event Rocket plugin in addition to our plugin.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantHello jpehmann,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
I apologize for the frustration that I’m sure this issue has caused.
To clarify, this is happening in the upgrade to 3.8.1 from 3.8? You had previously updated to 3.8 without a problem?
To restore, you can delete version 3.8.1 from your server and replace with version 3.8 which can be downloaded from the developer tab of the WordPress.org repository. Before updating again, were there any new plugins (or updates) that were added between updating 3.8 and 3.8.1 or a theme switch? If so, try disabling these plugins when running the update.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

I apologize for the inconvenience that this issue is causing. Our plugin relies heavily on AJAX and can sometimes experience conflicts with themes utilizing AJAX for these types of page transitions.
Unfortunately, there isn’t a “page” associated with the calendar that you can edit those theme specific settings on within your dashboard. However, there are a couple of options that you can pursue to get your theme working with our plugin.
- <span style=”line-height: 13px;”>Is there a global setting for the theme to disable these animations? Disabling them globally should remove this conflict from the site. </span>
- Is there a filter that can be used for this setting that can be run in your functions.php file? You can then target event pages by using the “tribe_is_event_query” conditional to only disable those animations on pages generated by our plugin.
I’m sorry I wasn’t able to give you a direct response however I hope this was able to point you in the right direction.

Do you mind providing the exact snippets that you used in your functions.php file to change those names? You can paste directly or use a service like http://gists.github.com or http://pastebin.com
Thanks!
October 20, 2014 at 5:39 pm in reply to: need simple search for events that exists in my template header #823001Josh
ParticipantHello michaelbuddy,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
When using
get_search_form()'by default the search form will pull from thesearchform.phpfile within your theme. If your current theme has this file, you can add the following snippet to the form before the submit (search) button. This will limit the search to just events.<input type="hidden" value="tribe_events" name="post_type" id="post_type" />Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

This is definitely a strange issue to be having and I apologize for the inconvenience.
A couple of quick questions to help us in diagnosing the issue you’re experiencing. Is the problem with activating The Community Events plugin or is it with the core Events Calendar plugin? Does it create a redirect loop when attempting to access the admin page or does it go to a blank white screen?
Thanks!

ParticipantHello klokwerk,

I apologize for the inconvenience of our plugin not working completely with WPML. As you’ve noticed in other threads, it is something that is on our radar and something we really wish to look into further in an upcoming release.
However, it does sound like your issue is slightly different that any I’ve seen previously. When both are turned on, does the event table show normally but just reporting that there aren’t any events (same on the frontend, are the views showing normally but just lack the events)? Or is the view completely broken when they’re active.
How about when the language is set to the default for the install? Are events hidden then or is it only when a translated view is active?
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey!
Thanks for reaching out to us!
Hopefully I can get these answered for you as you consider purchasing our pro plugins.
- <span style=”line-height: 13px;”>Sure! You can set a price for the event and attendees can pay at the venue. If you’re using a ticketing system, you can have that option set up within the cart system that you’ve chosen (WooCommerce, EDD, etc.). This is usually a “Pay by Check” or pay in person type of option.</span>
- There isn’t currently a way for users to manage their own tickets. If they would like to cancel a ticket and get a refund, they would need to contact your site and this can be handled by your site’s admin.
- Are you wanting to display event attendees on the front end of the site? This can be done but would require some custom development to accomplish.
- The remaining number of tickets is automatically displayed on the event page before a user registers for an event.
Let me know if this helps or if you have any further questions.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHello dkinney,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
I’m sorry for the inconvenience that you’re experiencing with the compatibility between these two plugins. I’ve tested locally but was unable to duplicate the error that you’re experiencing. If you don’t mind, could you navigate to the Events -> Settings -> Help tab and post the System Information that is displayed there within a private reply?
Thanks!
