Community events not working after upgrade

I updated events calendar and community events, it caused the WordPress admin not to load. I had to rename(deactivate) the plugins via ftp for site to work. What is my conflict?

This is definitely a strange issue to be having and I apologize for the inconvenience.

A couple of quick questions to help us in diagnosing the issue you’re experiencing. Is the problem with activating The Community Events plugin or is it with the core Events Calendar plugin? Does it create a redirect loop when attempting to access the admin page or does it go to a blank white screen?

A couple of suggestions to see if we can get this issue resolved for you.

1. <span style=”line-height: 13px;”>Try downloading the latest version of the plugin from WordPress.org and uploading the files directly to your site via http://FTP.</span&gt;
2. Within your wp-config.php file, set WP_DEBUG to true.
3. Before activating the plugin, deactivate all other plugins on your site.

Let me know if this gets you passed the blank white screen issue when activating or if a more detailed error message is provided when activating.
