February 11, 2016 at 11:06 am in reply to: Search bar – additional fields and different date search #1071645Josh
ParticipantHey Christofer,
To start, I would like to set expectations for customizations such as these. We’re happy to help point you in the right direction for some of these. However, many times we aren’t able to give full snippets or full details on how a customization could be accomplished.
For the search feature, the simplest approach may be to disable the search bar within the Event Settings > Display tab and use the classic header. You could then use the “‘tribe_events_bar_before_template'” filter to add a new search form or the necessary form from the search everything plugin.
For modifying the format there, take a look at the tribe-events.js file at the “tribe_ev.data” and the “datepicker_formats”. You can copy this file into your theme and modify the “main” to match the “month” there. From there you can dequeue the plugin’s version of this file and enqueue your modified one.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Dennis,
Yep, you can have them automatically publish to your other sites from the main site. Within the settings on the individual site you can set the category on that site to where the imported events will be assigned but not the category from the main site where the events are coming from.
I’m looking into options here. Ideally, you should be able to set your feed to pull from a set category on the main site. Testing the best way to set up the URL for that currently.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey,
Could you temporarily make the tickets visible on the front-end for the event. When doing so, does the ticket available there match the current state of the ticket within Eventbrite?
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Abby,
I apologize for the delay here.
Try the following for getting the last date within a recurring series:
<script src=”https://gist.github.com/BeardedGinger/2f5213ee262c043cfa49.js”></script>
This could get a little tricky depending on how the recurrence is set, however if there are any issues it will give us a better idea for how to address the snippet for your particular events.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Kadi,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
You can have that made to fit by using “word-wrap: break-word” within your theme’s style.css file for that “.single-tribe_events #tribe-events-content .tribe-events-event-meta dd” selector there.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Angelo,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
For the first issue, can you try deactivating the plugins and then re-activate them to see if that clears the update warning?
Also, can you give me a little more details on the second part there?
also after updating the-events-calendar-filterbar 4.0.2 i can’t see my see that on my the plugins .
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Dan,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
Unfortunately there isn’t a way to currently handle this within the plugin. However, one of the features of our next release of the plugin will be the implementation of global stock. This will allow for different tickets to be sold from a single “pool” of tickets for the same event.
Barring any unforeseen issues with the QA process, this should be released later this month or early next month.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Matt,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
No, these are not legitimate releases of our plugin. Going this route would mean you wouldn’t have access to automatic updates as well as support for the plugins. Additionally, you run the risk of having additional tracking or malicious code added to the plugins from sites like these.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
February 10, 2016 at 10:26 am in reply to: 404 Errors When Opening Certain "Previous" And "Next" Buttons In New Tabs #1070946Josh
ParticipantHey Jay,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
It looks like this is being caused by a malformed URL when the recurring series gets into events that have already passed. I’m doing some tests and will likely be creating a new internal bug ticket for this particular issue. I’ll add this thread to that ticket and you’ll be notified here as we make progress.
Let me know if you have any questions about that process.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey,
Thanks for providing this log.
Seems strange that activating The Events Calendar Pro would be the root cause for these particular errors. Have you tried deactivating all other plugins and switching to a default theme and activating Pro to see if that works. From there you can activate other plugins one by one to see where the potential issue jumps in.
Thanks!
February 10, 2016 at 8:43 am in reply to: Is there a way to export the Order Sales Report as csv? #1070908Josh
ParticipantHey Ameet,
This definitely sounds like a good idea to be included within our plugin. We would love for you to add the idea to our UserVoice page. Once added, I’ll add that particular idea to our agenda for our next team meeting to give it a little more exposure to our team and developers.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Jason,
We do have an adjustment coming that does allow for more html included in the excerpt function that is being used there. This should be released with our 4.0.6 maintenance release that will be released, barring an unforeseen issues in the QA process, sometime next week.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Marion,
Sorry for the delay here. Just noticed a comment above that would change the approach here. The display that you are wanting to change the order for is the default list view for the plugin?
Thanks!
February 9, 2016 at 10:35 pm in reply to: Order Sales Report and Attendees Report Tickets Sold Inconsistencies #1070578Josh
ParticipantHey Ameet,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
There are definitely a lot of quirks and inconsistencies when it comes to how stock is handled particularly across the different cart plugins as well as when it comes to different interactions on counts (such as Awaiting Review).
We’re currently in the midst of an internal discussion on how we’ll manage these inconsistencies and will be modifying and documenting the impact on stock at every level of interaction within the purchase process as well as attendee management process.
I’ve added this thread to our internal ticket for that discussion since you bring up some great points that also need to be addressed.
I apologize for the inconvenience of some of these particular issues but assure you we are actively looking into and working on these issues.
Thanks!
