ParticipantHello,
I’m using Calendar Pro and the Eventbrite Plug in and have created dozens of events without any troubles.
I have created this event http://cru.org.au/event/power-of-possibility-2/
It shows up properly when online, but when I look at it via my mobile (iPhone and Samsung) the event shows up as ‘donation’. It’s a ticketed event and we don’t want to mislead people.
The event had previously said ‘free’ so I created new tickets and re-imported the event and it changed ‘donation’.
We are yet to finalise the ticket costs so we don’t want to publicise them yet. I’ve hidden the tickets and I wonder if this might be causing it?

ParticipantHey,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
This definitely sounds like a strange issue here. To clarify:
- You’ve created an event within WordPress and added eventbrite tickets to the event
- While in desktop view, the tickets appear as expected
- On mobile, the tickets show as donation rather than as paid tickets
Also, you mention that you have the tickets hidden. How do you have them hidden in this instance? Do you have the complete event set to draft? When clicking the link in your original message, it goes to a 404 page for me currently.
Thanks!

ParticipantThanks for getting back to me Josh.
The issue is not with the ticket description, but the text in the heading.
Here’s the event page in full screen
and here’s the same event in mobile view
I recreated the tickets for this event and made them paid tickets instead of free/donation.
I have hidden the tickets in Eventbrite by selecting the option ‘Hide this ticket type’ under ticket setting (edit -> create tickets) and I have deselected the option ‘Display Tickets on Eventpage’ within TheTribe Calendar event page on our website. This is because we have not yet set the price and this event page is, for the time being, a date claimer which we will update as we confirm more details.
For a bit of background, the reason we turn off the ‘display tickets on eventpage’ option is because we have been advised it is not accessible to people using screen readers.
Just to clarify, here’s the event page on our website (I think the issue was I imported the event again and forgot to update the URL)
http://cru.org.au/event/cru-conference-claiming-a-positive-future-the-power-of-possibility/And here’s the link to the Eventbrite event

ParticipantHey Hugh,
Thanks for following up with this information.
I’m doing some testing trying to replicate now. One question, based on a potential issue I’m noticing, when you created the tickets for the event the very first time, did you create them as donation tickets?
Thanks!

ParticipantThanks Josh.
The very first time I made them free, then I deleted them and made new donation tickets and then I deleted those and made new ones that had a fee.
Cheers.

ParticipantHey,
Could you temporarily make the tickets visible on the front-end for the event. When doing so, does the ticket available there match the current state of the ticket within Eventbrite?
Thanks!

ParticipantG’day Josh,
I am trying a couple of work around at the moment – either copying the event, adding paid tickets and re-importing it or starting from scratch. I’ll let you know which works. I’d like to keep this open for now if that’s cool?
Cheers
Hugh

ParticipantG’day Josh,
We imported the event again once the tickets were made live and the issue has not repeated. Happy to leave it there, but still no idea what the issue was.Cheers

ParticipantHey Hugh,
I’m glad it’s working for ya now! Definitely a strange one here.
I’ll go ahead and close this thread for now. If you have any further questions or if the issue crops up again, please don’t hesitate to open a new one.
Thanks!
