ParticipantHi Greg,
Thanks for troubleshooting this and sorry to hear about the troubles. First, can you be a little more specific about the files for the lines of code you are referencing? It’s not clear to me which file you are referencing. Second, I wonder, do you have any template overrides in an ‘events’ or ‘tribe-events’ folder with modifications? Or, have you made any modification to template files anywhere else that could have anything else to do with this? Third, is this happening with all events or only some events? I’m wondering if you can consistently reproduce it with a specific event configuration.
Thanks,
JonahJonah
ParticipantHi Nicholas,
What do you have set as your permalink structure? Try setting it to postname if it’s not already. Have you also tried deactivating all other plugins?

ParticipantHi Laura,
Thanks for the praise, we’re pretty happy and proud of 3.0. Sorry to hear you’re having issues though. What version of Headway are you working with? Can you email us a copy you are working with so we can test things out? You can email to pro [at] tri [dot] be and attn. to me. I’ll take a look ASAP.
Thanks,
JonahJonah
ParticipantHi Cynthia,
Pardon me for my ignorance, but what is Housekeeping? Do you have active events in your events list in the Administration? For the calendar widget you need to add the new widget in place of the old widget. It’s showing the default WordPress calendar widget. Sorry about that.

ParticipantHi acronyc,
Can you show me a screenshot of your recurrence settings for the event?
Thanks,

ParticipantHi Andreas,
What you’re asking for is something we probably won’t provide in depth here because it’s covered so many other places. I would suggest searching around a bit. My personal suggestion would be to use http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-migrate-db/
Here are the steps you need to take to migrate a site with WP Migrate DB:
1. Create a new directory on a server somewhere and move a copy of all the files for your site (the entire WordPress site directory).
2. Install and activate WP Migrate DB. Go to Tools > WP Migrate DB and punch in the details for the new server/folder paths. In most cases you should just be able to copy what’s already there and just append the folder name for the new folder on your server. Then run the migration process which will provide you with a copy of your DB with all the paths rewritten to the new server/folder location.
3. Create a new DB through your web hosting control panel. Import the DB file you downloaded from the WP Migrate DB step.
4. Update your wp-config.php file to point to the new DB.
That’s it! Now you should have a fully working clone of your website that you can test things with 🙂
I hope that helps but let me know if you have any questions.

ParticipantHi Mizz,
Sorry about the troubles. To get a background back behind things you should be able to just add this to your theme’s style.css file:
#tribe-events-pg-template {
background: #fff;
}
I hope that helps!– Jonah

ParticipantHi Andrew,
I would suggest using the Default Events Template and then adding any theme specific markup you’ll to the template file. You can make changes to the template file by making a copy of /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/views/default-template.php and placing in an ‘tribe-events’ folder in your theme. Then you can add your theme’s specific DIV’s to get things looking better. You might also need to make some CSS adjustment too. I hope that helps but let me know if you have any other questions.

ParticipantHi yvrmark,
Sorry to hear about you having issues with the upgrade process.
1. I’m not sure what you mean by this. Can you provide some more detail and perhaps an example?
2. You’ll need to modify the templates or adjust the social buttons plugin to get things looking the way you want here. I can try to provide a little guidance but this is more something you are responsible for.
3. Do you mean when you’re trying to save settings? Please try deactivating all other plugins to make sure there is no conflict with another plugin first. Let me know how that goes.
4. Again, I would suggest trying to deactivate all other plugins first. That may be the issue. If not, I would need some specific steps to try and re-create the problem…

ParticipantHi Esteban,
Glad you figured it out, but I would suggest not modifying core files like you did with tribe-templates.class.php…
The duplicate venues button will only show until you’ve actually run the merge script or there are actually duplicate venues. Are you still seeing duplicates? Are new duplicate venues being created when you create new events?

ParticipantHi Adam,
If you view the source you can see that these are all just classes added to the body tag. For day view, the class is “.tribe-events-day” and for venues its “.tribe-events-venue”. I hope that helps!

ParticipantHi Adam,
Hmm, I have the plugin installed and activated on my end and I’m not able to reproduce this. And do you mean you click “Next Day” in day view? I’m confused, can you please test things out a bit more and provide me some more details as to exactly what’s going on?
Thanks,

ParticipantHi Chuck,
Sounds good. Yes, the widget changed in 3.0 so you’ll need to add it back. Let me know if you have any other questions.

ParticipantHi Adam,
Thanks for reporting this. I can confirm I’m experiencing the same thing. I’ve gone ahead and created a high priority ticket for this so it should get taken care of soon.
