ParticipantHi Mamdouh,
1. Glad you got that figured out.
2. That option only affects the Events Bar and/or the Filters add-on. It won’t turn off Ajax for the calendar pagination. Can I take a look at what’s getting messed up for you? Do you have an example you can point me to?
Thanks,
JonahJonah
ParticipantHey Jonah!
Hmmm, I tried duplicating this on my end and was not able to. The See all link takes me to the page and shows me all instances of the event. Perhaps this is a plugin/theme conflict? Can you please try deactivating all other plugins and/or switching to the default WordPress theme to see if that clears things up for you?
Thanks,
JonahJonah
ParticipantSounds good Karen, we’ll get your Community Events issue sorted out separately. I’m closing this thread since it looks like you are all set here now.
Thanks,

Participant@technicallysimple – thanks for your reply and suggestions. Somehow we missed the “Doing template overrides” in our documentation sweep, but I’ve updated that tutorial to reflect the proper override path. We also did do a lot of testing with popular themes, but it’s always difficult to test every scenario with each one… I sent you a request for your theme in another thread so we can take a look at the specific issues there. If you can send that to us, we’ll take a closer look.
@cynthia – like I mentioned we did go through all the documentation but unfortunately missed a couple things. We spent about 3 weeks on this and tried to do as thorough a job as possible. Indicating changes in the readme or posting an actual article on some of the things that changed is a great idea and I’ve brought this up with the team so hopefully in the future we can do better with this. Our testing before release included the main WordPress theme’s as well as some other popular themes. Again, it’s difficult to be able to account for every possible scenario but we tried to do our best. As for the class names, we could also have done a better job with this and will try to do so in the future.
Please let me know if anyone has any other questions here and sorry for all the frustration and problems with the upgrade. We truly value your feedback and suggestions and will certainly continue to try to do better in future releases to make things smoother.

JonahJonah
ParticipantHi screenfeed,
Thanks for all the info here. We’ve got a ticket out to get this fixed in our next release which will be coming out soon!

ParticipantHey jasongrasshopper,
re: #3, can you please provide a specific link to an event that has this category or a link to that category on your site so I don’t have to dig around?
Thanks,
JonahJonah
ParticipantHi flamsteedas,
Ok, can you please provide me with wp-admin credentials so I can take a look at things myself? You can post the details privately here. Do I have permission to deactivate plugins myself? I promise I’ll put everything back the way it was.
Thanks,
JonahJonah
ParticipantHi PP,
We are aware of some issues with our plugin and the Canvas theme and have a ticket out to look into this. We’ll get to it as soon as we can but as of now there is no known solution and no ETA as to when this will be fixed. You can either wait for us to come out with a fix, hire someone to help you or revert to the past version.
Sorry I don’t have better news here. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Regards,
JonahJonah
ParticipantHi duvaldemocrats,
Have you tried deactivating all other plugins to see if that changes anything?

ParticipantHi Rick,
Do you have a lot of events on your site? What web host are you with? I haven’t heard of anybody else having issues with this and I know we made a bunch of query optimizations with this release so I’m not sure what the problem could be. Do you have any caching plugins installed for your site? That may help…

ParticipantHi Rick,
Which event is the recurring event?
Jonah
ParticipantHi Bryan,
What event related pages specifically were you targeting with the above conditional?
Jonah
ParticipantHi Robert,
I have no idea why the post-info and meta would be missing because of our plugin. My suggestion would be to deactivate all other plugins to see if that helps and/or deactivating our plugin to see if that helps and if the info comes back after deactivating our plugins, then we know it must be some conflict. Let me know how that goes.
No idea why your other custom post types are gone now too. How did you add the custom post types? Via a plugin or with code?

ParticipantHi Gwen,
To duplicate events you can try one of the following plugins:
or
I hope that helps but let me know if you have any questions.

ParticipantHi Cynthia,
The mini-calendar width is more related to your theme than anything else. The mini-calendar is set to stretch to a 100% width, or whatever the width of your sidebar is. You’ll need t modify the width of your sidebar, which will change the width of everything else. Right now it’s set to 20% width and has a 6% margin on the right. You’ll need to reduce and play around with things to get it right.
As far as CSS in general, you actually don’t need to add CSS to any of our plugin files, you can actually just add whatever CSS you need to modify/set in your theme’s style.css file. You just need to use the right CSS selectors to target things.
I hope that helps but let me know if you need anything else.
Regards,
– Jonah -
