ParticipantHi,
Congratulations on the release of the new version for Tribe Events, it looks a lot nicer and I am really happy to see it.
I’ve just upgraded and I had a couple of issues:
1. When I enable comments for Events, the comment form gets added twice( I am using the Responsive Theme from ThemeID)
2. I unchecked the use JavaScript to load page, as it was causing my problems with Arabic content but it keeps using Ajax to load the page!
I am not sure how to disable that. Many thanks,
MamdouhJuly 8, 2013 at 12:13 pm #53853Jonah
ParticipantHi Mamdouh,
Thanks for your praise!
1. Can you disable comments in our plugin settings and still have comments show?
2. Where did you uncheck to use JavaScript to load the page?

ParticipantHi Jonah,
Thank you for your quick response to my comments.
1. When I disable comments they don’t show up but when enabled they show up twice below the single event! ( I just found out its was getting called twice in the page template and removed it and now it’s showing up only once.)
2. I unchecked the Use JavaScript to control page load under Settings- General to disable the Ajax loading but it’s still working. Many thanks,

ParticipantHi Mamdouh,
1. Glad you got that figured out.
2. That option only affects the Events Bar and/or the Filters add-on. It won’t turn off Ajax for the calendar pagination. Can I take a look at what’s getting messed up for you? Do you have an example you can point me to?
Thanks,

ParticipantHi,
What I wanted was to stop Ajax loading of the calendar pagination as I noticed that when I use it the new month data loads in English instead of Arabic which is my language. Is there a way around this?I would have sent you the link from the start but the page with the calendar is set for members only and not accessible without login. If you need this I can send you a username and password to be able to see it.
Much appreciated.

ParticipantHi Mamdouh,
Ok, I understand now. How are you actually doing the translation? Is this with a plugin?
– Jonah

ParticipantNo, it’s the translation that comes bundled with the plugin itself, I didn’t use any other plugins for translation.
It works just fine when the page first loads but when using Ajax, it refreshes in English!
Hope that clarifies what I mean.
Thanks.July 10, 2013 at 1:19 pm #54350Jonah
ParticipantHi Mamdouh,
Ok, so you enabled Arabic via the WordPress wp-config.php file?
July 11, 2013 at 1:41 am #54466elmalak
ParticipantWell, actually this time I used the WordPress language plugin,
http://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-language/
Does that make a difference?July 12, 2013 at 10:38 am #54776Jonah
ParticipantHi Mamdouh,
I’m not exactly sure why it wouldn’t be working with that plugin but will need to check with one of our developers to know more. Stay tuned for an update.

ParticipantHi Mamdouh,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this. So one of our developers said this has to do with the admin still being set to use english as the language. Can you please try setting the language of WordPress overall to Arabic to see if this works?
Thanks,
JonahJuly 19, 2013 at 5:59 pm #56186elmalak
ParticipantHi Jonah,
You were right again!
Setting the language to Arabic for both Front and back-end solved this problem. Many thanks for your great support.
