ParticipantHi,
I’ve just upgraded to version 3.0 and have managed to work my way through several style problems. However, I’m left with two issues that I can’t seem to resolve:1) The ‘event from’ drop-down calendar is displaying white dates on a white background. I can’t seem to find where to change the styling for this.
2) If I click on ‘previous events’, none of my past events are being displayed. I can get them to display by changing the date in the ‘events from’ box… but this doesn’t seem right. I should be able to scroll back through all of my previous events if there is no date in this field.
I’d be grateful for any advice.

ParticipantHi flamsteedas,
1. You should be able to just right click this in your browser and choose “Inspect Element” to inspect the markup and CSS. The div you are looking to style has a class of ‘datepicker’ and ‘dropdown-menu’. you can see it here: http://cl.ly/image/1Q3Y3t15122a
2. Do you have events before July? Got some examples I can see?

ParticipantThanks for (1). I’ll give this a go.
As regards (2), I have about 60 events prior to July. Examples are: http://flamsteed.info/event/visit-to-the-rog-astronomy-reserve-collection/ and http://flamsteed.info/event/flamsteed-lecture-members-talks/July 5, 2013 at 12:50 pm #53511Jonah
ParticipantHi flamsteedas,
Sounds good on #1. On #2, please try deactivating all other plugins to see if there’s another plugin conflicting with ours causing this.
Thanks,

ParticipantOK, so I’ve sorted the CSS issue with the drop-down calendar.
However, I can’t find a solution to the ‘Previous Events’ problem. I’ve tried deactivating plug-ins, to no avail. This was working fine prior to version 3.0 upgrade. Just to reiterate, if I click in the ‘previous events’ button in the main ‘upcoming events’ screen, I get the message ‘no previous events’, despite the fact that I have around 60 previous events available.
Please advise.

ParticipantHi flamsteedas,
Ok, can you please provide me with wp-admin credentials so I can take a look at things myself? You can post the details privately here. Do I have permission to deactivate plugins myself? I promise I’ll put everything back the way it was.
Thanks,

ParticipantHi flamsteedas,
Thanks for providing me access. Can you please try changing your Permalinks to ‘Postname’ in Settings > Permalinks. Let’s see if that helps. If not, also please try changing your timezone to a UTC time instead of a city.

ParticipantI’m not happy about changing my permalinks settings, as we have several links to website reports from other websites that would be instantly broken. The UTC change didn’t help.
Could you please reactivate the sidebar widgets that you’ve deactivated… The calendar and the subscription areas.

ParticipantOK, I’ve reactivated the areas that you deactivated in your investigation. Somewhat disappointed that the site was left in this state, particularly as you promised to put everything back the way it was.
I note from this thread http://wordpress.org/support/topic/past-events-not-being-displayed on the ‘free’ package that several people have noted the issue with previous events and there is a suggested fix from a user.July 11, 2013 at 2:58 pm #54633Jonah
ParticipantHi flamsteedas,
Very sorry that I didn’t restore everything, I thought I had but sometimes restoring widgets is funky when switching themes. We are now officially working on a fix for this to release in 3.0.2 which should be coming out very soon. Please wait for that and this should resolve your issues. Let me know if not.
Regards,
