Jon
ParticipantOk it disappeared sometime between 4:00 and 4:25 Pacific time. I have a feeling this is happening on EVERY event we just haven’t noticed on the others. All the ones we have watched so far have disappeared before the sales end, and before the show starts. 🙁

Participantthanks George!
Yes that event is still working for us here on the west coast as well. we are keeping a close eye on all upcoming events to try to pinpoint when the form stops displaying and trying to figure out why. So far we can’t see any patterns, so it is hard to reproduce. I will keep you updated.February 23, 2016 at 6:34 pm in reply to: Widget not showing on today's events (eventbrite) #1081169Jon
ParticipantI went ahead and changed the timezone to UTC-8 and it is still happening. On one of tonights shows, the widget is not showing.
In case you don’t see this until tomorrow, we have another show tomorrow night that you can look at. not sure if the error will occur or not, but if it does, then you can see it happening.

Participanti dont think we have any events with that issue right now. The problem is it usually only occurs the night of the show, so when it happens again, I can email you but unless you monitor this at night, it will have passed by the time you read it 🙁

ParticipantBoth of those boxes are checked. We cannot find a difference in the settings for the events that are not showing the widget and the ones that are.

ParticipantHey Nico,
thanks for getting back to me. It looks like the biggest issue is actually that my client has been entering
tags into the titles of the events in EventBrite because eventbrite is pretty limited in terms of headliners vs. supporting acts so they have been doing that as a workaround. You can see an example here:
https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=built+to+spill+%40+slim%E2%80%99s+%3Cbr%3E+w/+the+hand,+iceberg+ferg,+february+10&stick=H4sIAAAAAAAAAOPgEOLSz9U3ME2uNEorV-LVT9c3NEzOrjTPMM-t0lLNTrbSz8lPTizJzM-DM6xKC5LzczPz0hVSy1LzSoqTBCyMjQyTEpNNjAyMTAyS0kweMTYxcgu8_HFPWKpy0pqT1xiLuYgzSsiLi801rySzpFJIjotPCslpGgxSPFxIfCkFJS7ereXNYqL5FpzbtYQ4DU0FdNXq-hsEv3CrKBzZpdjMAwDBlXc63AAAAALots of the titles have
in them. Do you think it is possible for the schema to just strip those out??
February 17, 2016 at 12:08 pm in reply to: Google Information fails with special characters from EventBrite #1074622Jon
ParticipantIt’s on almost ALL of our pages because we use the word Slim’s for almost everything, but you can see it happening here (if you view the page source).
http://www.slimspresents.com/event/hibbity-dibbity-slims-w-down-outlaws-loco-tranquilo/Here it is on eventbrite
http://www.eventbrite.com/e/hibbity-dibbitys-cosmic-rodeo-slims-w-down-outlaws-loco-tranquilo-tickets-20130900064?ref=ebtnJon
ParticipantHere is some more info from our guy :
ok, it happened again. poor man’s whiskey on 3/19. Liz went in to edit the show description (which she’d been doing on a bunch of events just to clean up some formatting). she verified that the box was still checked, made her edits, hit saved and was given an error message: “We were unable to sync your event to Eventbrite. Here’s why:
You have hit the rate limit.”
she closed out of the page without saving and we left it alone for about 20 mins or so. we then returned to the backend of the page and it was reconnected and the changes she’d made before getting the error were saved.January 5, 2016 at 2:03 pm in reply to: EventBrite Import removes country from event address #1050751Jon
ParticipantAny update on this?
Jon
ParticipantI also got this from our guys:
for the record, all the events (effected or not) are imported, not built in wordpress (we have a few non-eventbrite events build in wp, but that’s unrelated since they don’t link to anything on EB) and in the cases i can verify personally (what happened today), the ‘keep linked’ was checked before any saves were made and in some cases it was verified that the box was checked and no additional save was made, the page was just exited.
Jon
ParticipantWe are trying to make the issue repeatable. It is still happening and may have to do with two people editing the same event at the same time? Here is what our person says:
haven’t isolated the problem yet, but liz and i have been trying to break events all day with mixed results. at one point a few events became disconnected, but then checking a few mins later, they were fine. weird. i don’t know if you’re able to look at an activity log or something like that, but that weirdness happened between approx. 11:45am and 12:15pm. I noticed that the GAMH show on 2/3 (hawaiian show) was showing up a little weird – the widget was not filling the whole space, just the width of the description. i refreshed the page (front end event page, not backend) and then it was gone altogether. i then went and opened up the event on the backend and it was showing as disconnected. i closed without saving, checked some of the previous show’s i’d just verified as connected and many of those too had become disconnected. closed without save. then i had liz look at the same events, but some of them were working for her. went back and looked at them again and they were working.then i went and checked the backends and verified that the ones that had been disconnected were then showing up as working.
We would LOVE IT if there was a notification if someone somehow accidentally DISCONNECTS the event or checks that setting before the event gets updated. Like a pop up saying ” ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO DISCONNECT FROM EVENTBRITE??”
ALSO would be amazing if there was a simple way to RECONNECT the events because we had to spend A TON of time re-importing and then making changes to all the events that became disconnected. We use a lot more data on the WP side of things than the eventbrite and we lost a lot of hours re-entering the data that was already in the site. VERY frustrating.
August 12, 2015 at 7:09 am in reply to: Import event changes setting for displaying # of remaining tickets in EventBrite #995394Jon
ParticipantI think there is one more step to recreate it, which is to edit the event in WP in some way – add an image or some meta or change the title or whatever. So you import, edit it, and press update in WordPress, then go back to event brite and the setting will have become checked.
June 22, 2015 at 9:06 am in reply to: Import event changes setting for displaying # of remaining tickets in EventBrite #971910Jon
ParticipantI can confirm that this bug is not fixed in the 3.10 release. It is still happening every time I import an event into wordpress and save any changes in WP.
June 22, 2015 at 9:05 am in reply to: Import causes change in privacy settings in EventBrite #971909Jon
ParticipantYes I am experiencing the same weird thing. It shows as public in the edit screen, but in the manage screen, it says “Password Protected” . This is still happening with the 3.10 release.
Jon
ParticipantJust to clarify – I upgraded to the 3.10, I still don’t have any other plugins activated, and am using the twenty fifteen theme. I tried checking the box that says “Automatically Convert Timezone” and leaving it unchecked, but it still changes the event time in EventBrite when I make any changes and save in WordPress. 🙁
