Alright then, well that’s rather annoying, but thank you for the prompt reply.

It sounds like you made it easier to display additional user information in the dashboard, but nothing was done to enable exporting that info in the CSV. I don’t know why would anyone only want to display the additional columns in the HTML table but not be able to export them in the CSV but I guess we’ll have to live with it for now. Hopefully this will be resolved in the future.

We put on educational webinars quite regularly and we need to associate the attendees with their businesses, otherwise there’s no way for us to know what their relationship is with us. We just want to export the business name with the rest of the attendee’s info to import into our CRM and the fact that we can’t is driving me and my associates mad.

Modifying core files is never a great idea. With Rob’s comments stating that these additional fields are something possibly slated for further development this fall, it would be a shame to use a bunch of resources to customize this if it might be resolved in 2-3 month’s time.

In the meantime, as long as we can get the info displaying in the HTML table, we can simply copy and paste that to an Excel CSV.

This is an extension of this question here…
    https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/attendees-export-csv-more-user-info-columns/

So am I understanding this correctly, in that there’s no way to do this (getting our custom columns in the attendees list to export in the CSV), without modifying core plugin files?

    Thanks.

Hi Rob. Thank you for the thorough reply. We do not feel that were were misled at all into purchasing your products. You often don’t know you need a feature until you need it. When it comes to reporting, however, one expects it to be thorough and to include as much existing data as one needs, filterable from the most basic on up to the works.

WooCommerce falls horribly short in this department. If their reporting was up to snuff, then this wouldn’t even be an issue, we could just export the customer list filtered by tickets purchased. I know that’s not on you to resolve their shortcomings, but when it comes to your products you’ve got to be better than them.

I’m happy to hear that you guys are looking at possibly including these feature requests (and please look at adding time zones to The Events Calendar too!) and we will eagerly follow along with your progress. I’d add more votes to the UserVoice channel, but I’ve run out of votes there. I’m sure that’s not necessary though, I’m satisfied that our request hasn’t fallen on deaf ears now.

I’ll take a look at the example you sent over and hopefully we can get this implemented in the meantime.

    Kind regards,
    Brad Shaw

Darryl, not sure if you found what you were looking for or not, but it’s in Events > Edit Events and then hover over an event in the list and you’ll see the “Attendees” link show up. Not the most intuitive way to get reporting on an event, but there you have it. And yes, WooCommerce order reporting is shockingly bad, but much needed customer information is missing from the WooCommerce Tickets plugin as well.

Business name is most important, as is any of the standard checkout info for that matter (we’re not even talking about custom fields here). I can’t understand why these options aren’t included. Clearly we’re not the only ones that need this, but like so many other missing features (times zones in the Event Calendar for example!) it seems like Modern Tribe just leaves out obvious functionality, ignores its user’s feature requests, or responds with “this is customization beyond the scope of the plugin”, hire someone else to do it. These aren’t cheap plugins, and then we’re looking at hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars extra to make them work like they should. Money that would be essentially wasted if you suddenly add a missing feature in a couple month’s time. Now times that customization expenditure by all the people that need the missing feature. Annoying to say the least.

Sorry, not several versions, but we are up to 3.7 now and I don’t see any ways to add additional columns to the exportable attendees info. All their info should be exportable if we want it to be.

We too would like to export additional info with the attendees list. Basic info that is included in the checkout process should be available in the attendees export. How else are you meant to manage this if you can’t export the info in it’s entirety?

Yeah, what’s up with this? It’s been 3 months and several versions past 3.6 when this was supposedly having work done on it doesn’t seem to have been addressed at all. We too need to be able to export company name (or in our case, school name) with our attendees, and we can’t see any way of doing this. It can’t possibly be that complicated to export additional columns of buyer’s info.

    Please advise.

I can’t add this to the feature requests, because I’ve already spent my points there voting up some of the other numerous missing features. That being said, it should be a no brainer that indicating the time zone for an event is an essential requirement for a premium events management tool like this one.

We’ve done this for now, but it would be good to be able to update the slug too. You need to give your users more flexibility. I’d make a feature request, but I’m all out of credits there. There are way too many features that need requesting.

It might not be the the default behavior to display the tickets in the catalog, but the category shows up by default. Seems kind of silly to display the category if it’s empty. I see others here expressing the desire to display tickets in the store, along with up sells and cross sells, etc. so perhaps you should give people the option to do so in the settings, and have the tickets automatically remove themselves when the event is over.

I’d make a post in the feature requests section, but I’m all out of credits there as there are numerous features missing from this plugin that I have mentioned or voted on.

I ran out of points for the UserVoice page, so I can’t post any new feature requests 🙁 There are quite a few things I would like to see happen with these plugins, and there are several features that really should be included in an events management tool that you guys have, surprisingly, overlooked.

Yes, that guide does show how to move the ticket form. How about the event details box too? How can the loop be split up into multiple rows and columns? Is this even possible?

It would be really nice to see some more examples on how to get the ticket box positioned and displaying differently. Better yet would be a variety of layout options to choose from built in. I can’t imagine we’re the only ones that don’t want to position the details and ticket boxes at the very bottom of the event listing, nor do we want these huge wide boxes taking up the entire page width to the fold at the top of the event listing.
