    Does the Envira Gallery have any official integration with Event Calendar Pro? Looks like every featured event image has a correlating Envira Gallery (i’ve got over 1100 – should be 40).

    I’d like to leave the ticket ‘officially’ open, but it looks like all the things I delineated are resolved by reactivating Event Cal Pro. I never thought to look at that. I was really confused with your responses that the things I was talking about (ie map display, images at bottom, etc) must have been theme related. In any case, except for some plugin conflicts that we have to work our way around (turn off our rating widget to work on the backend), things are looking good. Do you know of a star rating widget that this plugin works with? It worked fine with this one for over a year. Thanks again.

    Does Event Calendar Pro work in any way with the Envira Galleries? It shows that we have over 1000 galleries. That number should be more like 30 or so (wild guess). It’s like (especially on recurring events) that it’s created these ‘galleries’, and most with future dates. See image attach below. This cannot be good. NONE of these in the screen shot should be envira galleries.

    Calendar at top of list view no longer displayed

    At the top of the list view there is usually no calendar grid. It is possible that the theme you are using had a customization like that, or you were using one of the widgets on the page which shows a month grid and the list of events below.

    *** No. We’ve always had the map display at the top of the list view. I’ve never not had it. I had no widget I was using.

    Sorry to hear this. Do you mean the Additional Fields that come with Events Calendar PRO?

    Can you share with me a screenshot where the fields are supposed to be set up and where they should show up on the back-end and on the front-end?

    *** No, no display now. On admin screen, these were at the bottom of the other fields. On the front end they were in the right sidebar as mentioned above in a section called “Other”.

    Sidebar links to organizers and venues not working

    Can you share a screenshot on where I can see these?

    *** just go to this screen http://www.crazycrow.com/site/event/ou-spring-powwow/ and look in the right sidebar. The organization name and venue name used to be a link taking you to those pages. Now there is no way to them.

    I CANNOT revert to a different theme.

    I understand that sometimes it is difficult to change to a different theme on a live site. In these cases there are 2 options:

    1) Setting up a test site where you can play around without affecting the live site in any way

    *** I’ll look into this if all else fails.

    2) Try the “Health Check” plugin which provides a troubleshooting mode that aims to ensure your site will continue to operate as normal for regular visitors.

    *** I have downloaded and will use after hours.

    I’m sorry, could you provide a bit more details on this, possibly with some screenshots for better understanding? Thanks!

    This is not a feature of our plugin. If you had this before, then it was possibly done via the theme you are using or a template override.

    April 10 – one more thing – in the view of an event, the images of the prior and next events at the bottom are not displaying. Where are you guys?

    Thanks for your reply. Problem was our a3 Lazy Load plugin. We have deactivated and things are fine – except that we need to use that plugin to enhance site loading.

    Do you have any settings parameters related to this plugin that would help?

    I read the thread of another fellow who started out with a license issue (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/license-number-being-rejected-even-though-its-active/) that seemed like a nightmare. Is that situation related to us in any way?

    Once we select disconnect, what is the worse case that would cause us to need a backup?

    Would this possibly cause the events on our end not to work? Seems like all we’re at risk for here is that we’re not in sync with latest update, not that the thing should not function – or does it shut that down too? Since community is an add on, would that complete part not work? That is where all our content is.

    The consequences of a problem are just so vague and this is such an important part of the site that we just feel like we need to know more about why you are saying we need a backup.

    Can you please do this for us? We have hundreds of detailed events set up and we don’t want to make any mistakes that could jeopardize losing that information.

    Hi Brian,

    Thank you for getting back to us. Since I wrote you this question we have discovered information in the forums that the Plugins Better Notifications Emails and Membership can work with the Events Calendar to send notifications, but we can’t seem to get things set correctly.

    We are trying to send an email automatically to the Organizer when the event is created, also send an email automatically to the organizer when the event is approved. Do you know how this would all work together.

    Just added event rocket and it added the free version of event calendar. both it and my pro version are activated (when I activated event rocket). Is this how it is supposed to work?

    That is GREAT news. Perfect timing.

    On another topic if I can do that here – we’re having problems with the widget. By itself it’s no problem, but the sidebar we created for calendar pages/posts (love the way it creates posts) won’t let us add anything BUT the calendar widget. We have several other elements to add to it. Similarly, we cannot add the calendar widget to other sidebars that have other elements/widgets in them already.

    First the good news – the data isn’t gone.

    I downloaded the plugin for event calender shortcodes at https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar-shortcode/. “Adds shortcode functionality to The Events Calendar Plugin (Free Version) by Modern Tribe.”

    I took it for granted it was the free version of this app, not that it was only to be used on the free version. And I certainly didn’t expect it to download the free version of the calendar plugin with it.
    Never dawned on me that it would be available for the free version and not the paid version! Seems totally backwards.

    After I’d deactivated and deleted the free version of calendar and the shortcodes plugin (which installed the free version, creating the problem), I selected ‘settings’ on the pro version and it said I had to ‘install the latest pro version to continue’.

    This should read something more like “you must UPDATE your pro version before continuing.”

    Small difference, but the other way I interpreted it was literally what it said, which I thought would mean I’d be staring over again.

    Rather than wait an undermined amount of time and still having to reenter everything, I figured I would start over. I deleted the original plugin, reuploaded, then got the ‘must update” message again. This time I did it, and voila, all my stuff was back!

    We really, really need to be able to use shortcodes!
