Need to reopen. This was the beginning of a string of difficulties that has gotten worse with the latest update. I updated the plugin when it first came out a few weeks ago and it took my site down until I could restore the old plugins. I’ve waited until today – and the update ran fine – but now I’ve lost my:
***Calendar at top of list view no longer displayed.
***Added fields gone (option not showing either) – had several fields
***Sidebar links to organizers and venues not working (don’t act like links there) – REALLY BIG ISSUEAlso, per the initial ticket when I had to deactivate one plugin, I’ve now had to disable and/or delete:
Rate this (I turn on when I’m finished editing)
Duplicate Post (I turn on when I’m finished editing and I need it)
Layerslider (got rid of it after finding out the conflict)
Wondercarousel (converted to use Avada fusion builder tool that isn’t a conflict)
Also, disabled ‘Community’ – we like our own form submission better, so don’t need).It’s like it’s just getting worse.
Per your instructions below:
I CANNOT revert to a different theme. I’ve tried that before and lost my Avada configuration. This is a large site and that would be a disaster. Additionally, we have over 1000 events, and I’d like to be able to get busy on this again (been on hold the last month due to these issues) as we should have 3000.
I have not turned off every plugin, but as you can see from the above, we’ve tested most, and disabled and found work arounds on many important others. We’ve been using this plugin for YEARS with these plugins with no problems. What is going on?

Calendar at top of list view no longer displayed
At the top of the list view there is usually no calendar grid. It is possible that the theme you are using had a customization like that, or you were using one of the widgets on the page which shows a month grid and the list of events below.
Added fields gone (option not showing either) – had several fields
Sorry to hear this. Do you mean the Additional Fields that come with Events Calendar PRO?
Can you share with me a screenshot where the fields are supposed to be set up and where they should show up on the back-end and on the front-end?

I understand that sometimes it is difficult to change to a different theme on a live site. In these cases there are 2 options:
1) Setting up a test site where you can play around without affecting the live site in any way
2) Try the “Health Check” plugin which provides a troubleshooting mode that aims to ensure your site will continue to operate as normal for regular visitors.

This is not a feature of our plugin. If you had this before, then it was possibly done via the theme you are using or a template override.

*** Yes. The added fields with Events Calendar Pro. Can’t show you any screen snags since those don’t display any longer. This is a link to our own event submission. Folks never got it right with the online version. http://www.crazycrow.com/site/add-event-crazy-crow-trading-post/ – These all displayed in a separate area “OTHER” in the right sidebar.

*** No, no display now. On admin screen, these were at the bottom of the other fields. On the front end they were in the right sidebar as mentioned above in a section called “Other”.

*** just go to this screen http://www.crazycrow.com/site/event/ou-spring-powwow/ and look in the right sidebar. The organization name and venue name used to be a link taking you to those pages. Now there is no way to them.

** see attached file/pic of organizer edit. note no featured image. the bottom of the view is the bottom of the screen – no title tag field, no metas, focus keyword, etc.

April 10, 2018 at 12:46 pm #1503448J ReddickParticipantDoes Event Calendar Pro work in any way with the Envira Galleries? It shows that we have over 1000 galleries. That number should be more like 30 or so (wild guess). It’s like (especially on recurring events) that it’s created these ‘galleries’, and most with future dates. See image attach below. This cannot be good. NONE of these in the screen shot should be envira galleries.

No. We’ve always had the map display at the top of the list view. I’ve never not had it. I had no widget I was using.
Okay, this is the map view you are referring to. The map view is part of Events Calendar PRO, which I don’t see in your plugin list. It might be deactivated or not installed at all.
I see you have a license, so you should be able to download the latest version from your account here.
Install and activate the plugin. Then go to Events > Settings > Display tab and make sure that the Map view is enabled. If you would like the map view to be your default view, then you can set that in the setting right below.

Same as above. This is part of PRO and I don’t see the plugin installed / activated. Once you activate it then all should be back to normal.
Same with Sidebar links to organizers and venues not working.
Please check what’s up with PRO and let me know.

April 11, 2018 at 8:28 pm #1505030J ReddickParticipantI’d like to leave the ticket ‘officially’ open, but it looks like all the things I delineated are resolved by reactivating Event Cal Pro. I never thought to look at that. I was really confused with your responses that the things I was talking about (ie map display, images at bottom, etc) must have been theme related. In any case, except for some plugin conflicts that we have to work our way around (turn off our rating widget to work on the backend), things are looking good. Do you know of a star rating widget that this plugin works with? It worked fine with this one for over a year. Thanks again.

I’m so sorry about the confusion in the beginning. I did not discover until I saw your sysinfo that PRO might be deactivated. But I’m glad this solved the issue.
I can leave the thread open for now if you like. Note however that if there is no activity in the thread for 3 weeks then it will be automatically closed.
If you have a different issue that you need help with, then I would kindly like to ask you to open a new ticket. This helps us keep the help desk clean.
Unfortunately I don’t know which rating widget works well with ours. What are the issues you are experiencing? If you can give me details, then I might be able to help you with it.

While we don’t have any official integration with Envira nor do we claim to support it, it should work with it if Envira supports custom post types. (Events, Venues and Organizers are custom post types.)
I personally do not know Envira Gallery and not sure how it is supposed to work. Might be worth reaching out to the developers of Envira and see if they can give an insight on this issue.
