There is an update available for The Events Calendar: Filter Bar but your license key is out of installs. Visit the Modern Tribe website to manage your installs, upgrade your license, or purchase a new one.
From the Forum we found this example of the same issue:
in this forum the support person said it may not work. This alarms us because we have hundreds of events that we can’t afford to lose or even go down.We started the license off on a dev site which was cssui.crazycrow.com – this is what is listed as our current url for the license key. Our license is up to date but we can’t do the updates. We need to update our license URL to crazycrow.com so we can get the updates needed. Can you do this for us so that we don’t lose any data from our events?
Please let us know the best way to handle this so all of our events stay in tact. Thank you.

ModeratorHi David,
You should be able to update the Site URL by visiting your License Keys page. If that doesn’t work, let me know and I can change it for you.
Keep me updated and have a great Wednesday.

ParticipantCan you please do this for us? We have hundreds of detailed events set up and we don’t want to make any mistakes that could jeopardize losing that information.

ModeratorSorry for the delayed response,
You can go ahead and do it – it really shouldn’t cause any problems. If you’d like, do a backup prior to switching the ‘License URL’ just in case.
Again, thank you for your patience while I responded and have a good week!

ParticipantI read the thread of another fellow who started out with a license issue (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/license-number-being-rejected-even-though-its-active/) that seemed like a nightmare. Is that situation related to us in any way?
Once we select disconnect, what is the worse case that would cause us to need a backup?
Would this possibly cause the events on our end not to work? Seems like all we’re at risk for here is that we’re not in sync with latest update, not that the thing should not function – or does it shut that down too? Since community is an add on, would that complete part not work? That is where all our content is.
The consequences of a problem are just so vague and this is such an important part of the site that we just feel like we need to know more about why you are saying we need a backup.

ModeratorHello,
The only thing you’ll “lose” when switching the ‘License URL’ will be the ability to update your premium plugins if/when an update is available. You won’t lose any data whatsoever. But as recommended, make a back up just in case.
We will always recommend backing up even though we anticipate a 0% chance of losing any data. We always say, “better to be safe than sorry.” I hope this alleviates your concerns and let me know how it goes!
