    Yvonne,
Go to ‘Appearance->Themes’ then find the Twenty Eleven theme and click ‘Activate.’ After doing this, go back to your Event submission page (http://ctproductsandservices.com/events/community/add) and see if everything looks good.

    David,
I think that would be OK for now, but I would definitely implement the solution I posted above when the next version is released. Thanks!

    David,
Sorry, I just realized that that code won’t work with the latest public version. That’s code that will work with the version that’s currently in development.

So unfortunately, as of version 2.0.9, there is no way to hide the categories on this page. So sorry!

Let me know if you have any other issues that I can help with. Thanks!

    Yvonne,
Were you able to switch the theme to Twenty Eleven using the instructions I provided above?

    David,
Try adding the following code into your themes functions.php file: https://gist.github.com/3892808

Let me know if that does the trick. Thanks!

    Heiner,
Unfortunately this is not currently possible, as it would take a modification to the plugin core files in order to facilitate. Ii’ll pass this feature along to the devs for their suggestion. Thanks!

    Yvonne,
You should be able to go to ‘Appearance->Themes’ and switch to the Twenty Eleven theme. After you’ve done this, please revisit your Event submission page and see if you are still having issues. If so, then we can narrow the issue down to WooThemes.

Let me know if that does the trick. Thanks!

    Lee,
I’m re-opening this so we can test with the latest version. Would it be possible to get a copy of your database to use for testing this performance issue? Just let me know. Thanks!

    Yvonne,
I saw a notification of your previous (unsaved) post, and that you said it’s still not showing up on your event submission page here: http://ctproductsandservices.com/events/community/add. Have you tried switching to the Default theme? I think there’s something strange going on with your existing theme that’s causing all of the event detail fields to not be showing. Here’s what my ‘Event Submission’ page look like: http://d.pr/i/q9iG

You’ll notice that you’re missing all of the date fields that my screen has. Could you try switching to the default 2012 Theme and see if that resolves your issue? Thanks!

    Heiner,
Thanks for getting in touch. I was able to successfully submit an event without an end date in my test environment, since the field is not required. Let me know if you’re able to do this on your site.
Regarding your second question, yes you can edit how the date format displays on the front-end by doing the following:

    1) Make sure you do a template override (https://theeventscalendar.com/faq/what-are-template-overrides-and-how-do-i-do-them/) before making any modifications

    2) In your template files, look for some PHP that looks like this: https://gist.github.com/3879151 and change it to this: https://gist.github.com/3879165

Let me know if that does the trick or if you have any further questiosn. Thanks!

    Yvonne,
Thanks for reaching out and being a loyal customer! I’d be glad to help you with this. The best way to do this is by using Custom Fields in EC Pro.

    1) Go into Events->Settings and click on ‘Additional Fields’: http://d.pr/i/Hmw0
    2) Create a new field labeled ‘County’ and make it either a dropdown or Text field: http://d.pr/i/wUdq
    3) This new field will now show up on the ‘Add’ screen when users submit new events: http://d.pr/i/43xm

Hope that helps! Let me know if that answers your question. Thanks!

    Catherine,
Sorry you’re having this issue! Are you not seeing the country dropdown, as shown in this screenshot? http://d.pr/i/ieAP

Once you change the country to Austrailia, you will then be able to type in the State there.

Let me know if you’re not seeing that. Thanks!
