ParticipantHmmm, that’s really strange. I just tested this in my local environment and it worked for me. Can you try putting it in functions.php file of the parent theme?
Casey
ParticipantBamforp,
I just realized that the Community add-on is using page.php when the ‘Default Events Template’ option is selected. Try pasting this code snippet into your theme’s functions.php file to get Community to use a different page template: https://gist.github.com/ckpicker/7914377Let me know if that does the trick!

ParticipantYaguare,
Thanks for reaching out! Not sure exactly why this is happening, but this depends a lot on your email providers spam filtering settings. I would contact them to see if there is some kind of whitelist your site could be put on.Since spam filtering settings are specific to each individual email provider and we don’t have any control over that, we unfortunately can’t offer further advice than that.
Hope that helps, and just let us know if you have further questions. Thanks!

ParticipantBamforp,
Try putting the ‘tribe-events’ directory in the parent theme directory and let me know if that fixes the issue. Thanks!Casey
ParticipantWhat versions of the Events Calendar and Community are you running? Also, could you paste that code somewhere like PasteBin and then share the link with me so I can see the whole file? Thanks!
Casey
ParticipantBamforp,
If you go into ‘Events->Settings->Display->Events Template’ what option is selected there in the dropdown?Casey
ParticipantGreat! Thanks for confirming that this got you sorted. Since it looks like you’re all set here, I’m going to mark this thread “Answered” and close it out.
By the way, if you have a minute or two, we would love it if you’d write a few words for us here: http://wordpress.org/support/view/plugin-reviews/the-events-calendar?filter=5
Thanks in advance. 🙂

ParticipantBamforp,
Sorry to hear you’re having these issues. Could you give me a URL to your Community Submission page, so I can take a closer look? Thanks!December 4, 2013 at 5:41 pm in reply to: Automatically Checking Google Maps Boxes for New Events #80242Casey

ParticipantRagots,
Just to clarify, is this on your Community Event Submission page?Casey
ParticipantRagots,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I’m going to create a thread to have one of our developers take a closer look. Please stand by. Thanks!Casey
ParticipantMz,
Unfortunately this functionality is not currently possible without some significant customizations, which we’re unable to support. However, I’d be happy to answer any other questions you might have related to this.I hope that helps!

ParticipantWesthills,
Unfortunately there’s no way to use two different sets of categories, but you can hide specific category checkboxes with some custom CSS. If you view your HTML source, you’ll notice that each category checkbox has an ID (ex: http://d.pr/i/4k6W). So, if I wanted to hide this particular category, I would just add the following code to my functions.php file:https://gist.github.com/ckpicker/7769180
Give that a shot and let me know if it does the trick. Thanks!

ParticipantNo worries! We can leave this open and I’ll just check back in periodically if we haven’t heard from you. Thanks!
Casey
ParticipantMz,
Great question! Yes, you can limit event submissions to only users that have an account on your site and are logged in. Does that help to answer your question? -
