ParticipantYou are very welcome Jordan!
I did notice that these duplicate events that are not resolving differ slightly whether it is the phone number or email. I apologize if this is actually a problem on my end.
I think that this is the problem. Our duplicate checker is intended only for events that were created by a bug in our 3.5 update. They were created more or less automatically by our plugin in some server configurations. Obviously that is no good, so we created this plugin to fix those. Basically with that sort of duplicate, the mere act of opening up one of those events in WP admin and pressing Update caused that event’s duplicates to disappear. So, our plugin basically opens up each event and clicks save. Thus it only removes 100% identical duplicates that have some fairly unique properties. It is not a generic duplicate checker.
I apologize if the plugin does not fill your needs. It was designed to address a bug, nothing more. đ
Please let me know if you have any more questions, or if I have misunderstood you in anyways. Cheers!

ParticipantHowdy whirlmagazine,
We briefly had an alpha release of that plugin that had a glitch in it. I just want to make sure you are using the latest version, linked to from here:Â https://theeventscalendar.com/release-events-calendar-pro-3-5-2-hotfix/
Some questions if the above does not fix:
- Can you clarify what you mean about it is only running for a brief moment? You should be able to keep that plugin activated alongside your other ones. At least until the duplicates go away. H
- How long is a “moment” would you guess? How many events do you have in total?
- What server/host are you using? Do you know how much memory you are allowed to use, usually definied in the php.ini file.
Finally, again if the updated plugin did not fix it, would you mind grabbing your system information and pasting it here? Make sure to use the âSet as private replyâ checkbox to protect your private information from the public. You can find the system info by going to WP Admin > Events > Settings, clicking on the âHelpâ tab, and scrolling down to the âSystem Informationâ box. (Or by going to [yoursite]/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=tribe_events&page=tribe-events-calendar&tab=help) That will give me a lot of extra information to help diagnose the problem.
Thanks! Pardon all my questions. I was asking everything I could think of that might be relevant, that way we can get it resolved the quickest. Cheers!

ParticipantHowdy cpmarashian,
Just to clarify, that option is found in WP Admin > Settings > General, not WP Admin > Events > Settings > General. It is a part of WordPress, not our plugin. That could definitely be confusing, so I have to make sure you are looking in the right place. If so, your WordPress might be corrupted, or perhaps another plugin is changing this screen? You might try disabling other plugins.
Does that make sense? Were you looking in the wrong perchance (even I did the first time, so I can totally sympathize if you were confused by this)? Please let me know. Cheers!

ParticipantHowdy efromdc,
There is no way to do that by default. The filters are pretty complex so they require POST data instead of GET variables. This means they do not have a unique URL.
That said you could pretty easily modify this snippet to do what you want if you are versed in PHP. You will see there that it detects a $_GET variable, and then sets the APM filters accordingly. Hopefully that makes sense, but it would prove confusing if PHP is not your bag.
Does that knowledge help any? Let me know if you don’t mind. Cheers!

ParticipantHowdy peterhanson,
It sounds like our themer’s guide is exactly what you are looking for. It walks you through creating custom templates. With a custom template you can add anything you want, especially something as simple as a full width div.
Please let me know if that guide helped. Cheers!

ParticipantHowdy Bardin Ellis,
We do not have  a demo setup unfortunately. Although, are you familiar with WooCommerce and The Events Calendar? Have you installed that and tested them? Woo Tickets is just a small bridge between the two. Tickets are basically just digital WooCommerce products. When adding an events you can add one or more tickets along with a description, title, image, stock count, SKU, and # available. Then when you publish the event those products are added to WooCommerce and become available for purchase. When viewing an event from the public side of your site, any tickets you added will be listed underneath, with a button to add them to your WooCommerce shopping cart. It is all very straightforward. Does that make sense? Have you seen our videos on the WooTickets Tutorials page? They can give you a great visual.

ParticipantHowdy saki,
The PRO plugin would allow you to create a three day all day event. So it would be one event spanning all three days. It also allows you to create a series of single events. So you can create a single event on Monday, then have it repeat on Wed & Fri (three separate events, but all related). Or, you have have it be on Sat & Sun instead, and only happen for two weekends. It sounds like it will fill your needs very well. Did that clear things up? Please let me know if you have further questions. Cheers!

April 21, 2014 at 11:08 pm in reply to: 404 on Google webmastertool for day-views but da-views are disabled #139149Brook
ParticipantHowdy schulzmischke,
It takes Google a while to reindex your site. That is likely why you are still seeing errors even after disabling Day view.
The truth is that our plugin by default outputs a no index no follow header on empty day view pages. This means that by default, our plugin does not generate 404 errors for Google. However, some themes or other plugins will remove this header, causing Google to attempt to index 404 pages. You can certainly try modifying the culprit to halt this behavior, or perhaps adding the meta information back via an action instead of a filter. This is a bit technical though, unfortunately. If you are looking for an easy no knowledge required solution, you have already done it. Disable day view, and wait for Google to fully reindex the site.
Does that make sense? Please let me know if that helped clarify things. Cheers!

ParticipantHello justeverything,
Thank you for reaching out. First of all to answer your question, 3.5.2 fixed a bug relating to recurring events that duplicated past the cut off date. More details here.
Would you mind if I got some details from you about your environment? First of all, what server/host are you using? How much memory does the php.ini file allow for? Can you increase it to see if that helps?
Also, could you grab your system information and paste it here? Even you are running the old version of PRO this could be useful. Make sure to use the âSet as private replyâ checkbox to protect your private information from the public. You can find the system info by going to WP Admin >Â Events >Â Settings, clicking on the âHelpâ tab, and scrolling down to the âSystem Informationâ box. (Or by going to [yoursite]/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=tribe_events&page=tribe-events-calendar&tab=help) That will give me a lot of extra information to help diagnose the problem.
Thanks again. I look forward to helping you resolve this.

April 21, 2014 at 10:48 pm in reply to: Looking for events calendar and booking with WooCommerce #139137Brook
ParticipantHello Pablo,
The basic Events Calendar allows you to add events. Any of our ticketing solutions, like Woo Tickerts or Eventbrite, would allow you to sell or give away tickets to an event. When you reach capacity it will show as sold out. Both of those would be good options based on the information you have given:
- <span style=”font-size: 13px;”>https://theeventscalendar.com/shop/wordpress-wootickets/</span>
- <span style=”font-size: 13px;”>https://theeventscalendar.com/shop/wordpress-eventbrite-tickets/</span>
You might dive into those links and see which one sounds better for your needs. Please let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks!

ParticipantHello mantabrook,
It depends on which element you want to style. For instance there is “entry-author” which wraps everything including “by”, and “entry-author-name” which is just the name. If you right click on an element and click inspect it will show you the CSS classes attached to it. Example.
To target just archive pages you can add a parent selector like “body.archive.tag”. If you only want it to affect events pages, you might need to get even more specific. Again you can view all the classes attached to body by using the inspector.
Does that information help? I certainly hope so! Let me know if I misunderstood or anything. Cheers!
