MemberHi,
Thanks for the interest in our plugins.
The Events are all custom post types and the data is stored in custom fields so you could do as you describe.
We would not be able to support it or provide much help unfortunately.
Here is a list of the custom post types and custom fields we use:

MemberThere are other options besides using Alternate Cron.
There is this guide to running the WordPress cron through a cron job in the cPanel of your hosting:
That is what I usually do.

MemberHi kattouf,
Glad it is working. Are you still having issues though if an event category is not set it will not load, is that correct?
Also please in the future open your own thread so we can help you one on one there. I have also deleted your other reply as it was a duplicate of this reply here and not needed.
Cheers
Brian

MemberHow strange.
Did you remember what you were doing? Were you editing templates or adding any custom functions?
What about changing any of the settings?
Can you compare the other site to the one broken and match the event settings?
Brian
MemberHi Robin,
Sorry for the issues you are having. I can help out here.
Do you have any custom event templates in your theme in the /tribes-events/ directory?
What about any custom coding in your theme’s functions.php for the events Calendar?
If you change themes does it bring back the form?
Let me know and we can go from here.
Thanks
Brian
MemberHi,
Sorry for the issues you are having. I can help troubleshoot this with you.
I took a look at your site and see the issue.
As you said it is the alternate cron that does this. I found the answer and that looks to be the issue:
http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/a/12778
I do not know how your site is setup and not sure if removing that will change things. It would be one of those things you might have to do some tests to see how it works.
Let me know if you have any follow up questions.
Thanks
Brian
