ParticipantThis ticket is being submitted by Aryan Duntley ([email protected]) on behalf of the individual who has purchased this plugin…
Seems there is some extreme query going on that is timing out the server or running some sort of infinite loop. It is definitely the pro addon. All other plugins have been disabled and only the events calendar and ECPro were activated. Once I deactivate ECPro, all is well. Need answers A.S.A.P. Only a 502, bad gateway, error. Server is basically timing out when pro is activated. Because of this issue, I will be forced to deactivate until problem is resolved. So many damn files in these plugins of yours that it would take me forever to try and debug but client is paying for this plugin so it’s on you guys to fix. Please provide me references to what files you are making your queries in (ones that would affect the homepage, you should not be making any queries or hooking anywhere unless it is on a page that some part of your plugin is used in) so that I can try to figure out where the issue might be originating. In the ECPro plugin, events-calendar-pro.php, when I comment out this line: tribe_init_events_pro_autoloading(); I get a blank page on the homepage (haven’t tested out the other pages)… This is ridiculous. You are affecting the queries to such an extent that I will get absolutely no database results if I comment out one line of code in your plugin. You should not be affecting the query to this extent.

ParticipantI found the source of the issue. I was searching through the code and was looking through the code for one of the widgets and decided to try and remove any/all calendar widgets from the sidebars. I found and removed the Hikes Calendar widget and the problem was resolved. I can now begin to test the settings in the widget as well as look through the code for that specific widget to figure out what is causing the timeout. If I find something I will let you know. If you know what is occurring, please let me know. You can mark this as resolved (although it is not yet because there is still an issue there with a server timeout) because now that I have pinpointed the source of the issue I can either debug or find a workaround/alternative.

ParticipantOk, it is crashing when no filters are selected. I should probably get the latest X posts/events if no filters are selected. When I choose a filter, it works fine.

MemberHi,
Sorry for the issues you are having with this.
So this comes down to one of our widgets causing the issue, correct?
Was this the Events List Widget or the Events Calendar Widget that caused this?
And this happened when no category filter is selected in the widget?
Please let me know so I can look into this and get it resolved.
Thanks

ParticipantIt was the Events Calendar Widget and the issue occurred when no category filter was set.

ParticipantSo on our back end when we go to “edit hikes” AKA events we used to have a filter system to be able to quickly find them. They are no longer. CAn you get in the back end and look for where they went?

ParticipantTHIS IS URGENT by the way. We can’t run our site without this and this is the most important tool of our site. We are 100% dependent on this so please get back to me when you can. We have 3,000 people a day counting on this calendar.

MemberHi,
The filter system you are talking about is the Advanced Post Manager and we moved it to its own plugin. Was there not a message it had been removed and a link to download it?
Either way you can add them back by getting this plugin on WordPress.org:
