MemberHi – sorry you’re hitting difficulties.
Your license definitely shouldn’t impact. Other than facilitating automated updates it actually has no operational bearing on the plugin itself (and so even if it expires the plugin keeps working with all of its original functionality).
Our site has updated to the latest version of the Modern Tribe’s The Event Calendar PRO, but it’s not appearing anywhere on our site (it’s meant to pull through to our home page).
If I navigate to your main events page (your-domain.com/events) it looks like you have set week view as the default view and though there are possibly some presentation issues there it definitely seems to be populated with events.
Just to clarify – is the problem that the events are not visible (ie, you are asking about a presentation issue) or is it that they are no longer appearing on the home page?
If it’s the latter then I’m not sure how much we’re going to be able to assist, as that isn’t really something the plugin is built to accommodate.

MemberHi!
I think that should be possible, yes.
To clarify then, the user themselves would basically be the organizer?
If so, I think the answer would essentially be to “listen” for new submissions using standard WordPress hooks such as save_post_{post_type} and then do one of two things:
- Create a new organizer record and assign to the event
- Assign any suitable existing organizer to the event
Of course, you’d also need to create a relationship between user accounts and organizers. So, definitely doable but very much a customization task that we’d need to leave in your hands.
Is that the sort of thing you were thinking of?

MemberHi – sorry you’re hitting difficulties.
It certainly looks like something is going on and I’m seeing an issue in the console that doesn’t normally crop up:
InvalidValueError: setCenter: not a LatLng or LatLngLiteral: in property lat: not a numberI do also note you already ran through our standard troubleshooting steps which is awesome:
YES, I’ve deactivated all other plugins to check for a plugin conflict.
YES, I’ve reverted to the 2011 default WordPress theme (with other plugins still deactivated) to check for a theme conflict. Can you confirm that even with basically a stock installing running just our plugins this problem still occured? Alternatively, were you able to zero in one any conflicts with other plugins/your theme?
Thanks!
Barry
MemberHi:
When I look at the upcoming events page (ie, at …/events/upcoming/) I don’t see any results – similarly, that means no future events are being found for display on the map view page.
If you create a new test event and set it to display at some future date – and of course assign it to a venue with a valid address – does the same problem still occur?
July 31, 2014 at 3:12 pm in reply to: No License Key Tab/ Fields for Pro or Community Events, Can't Download 3.7 Updat #550761Barry
MemberHi – I’m sorry to hear you are hitting difficulties here.
Just to summarize, you now have The Events Calendar, Events Calendar PRO and Community Events and all are at version 3.7 and are active – but the license tabs are still failing to display?
Barry
MemberI’m sorry you’re hitting difficulties here.
One possibility is that due to a file permissions issue the download can’t be saved in your temp directory or moved to the content directory; but there could be other possibilities.
In the short term would it be possible for you to update manually, simply by grabbing a fresh .zip for Events Calendar PRO (from this page) then unzipping it locally and uploading it via FTP … or some other similar means?
If not, definitely let me know and we can explore other options 🙂

MemberThanks Adam: Brickmarketing does that help at all? I’m afraid it’s difficult to say what might have caused breakages amongst your custom work without really knowing what that consists of.
Barry
MemberDefinitely possible but I’m afraid it’s not something that is facilitated “out of the box”.
If you’re familiar with coding for WordPress and WP_Query in particular (or related functions) you should definitely be able to cobble something together – and of course if you’d like to post this as a feature request we’d more than welcome it 🙂
Thanks!

MemberHi – I’m sorry to hear you are facing difficulties.
This isn’t an issue where I’ve seen many similar reports and I’m basically wondering if it might be local to your installation. I do see you already ran through some of our standard troubleshooting steps which is fantastic:
YES, I’ve deactivated all other plugins to check for a plugin conflict.
Did this yield any results/allow you to isolate the problem as a conflict with any other components? If not, could we take it a stage further:
- Please ensure The Events Calendar, EDD Tickets and EDD itself are all up-to-date
- Deactivate all other plugins
- Switch to a fresh, unmodified copy of a default theme such as Twenty Thirteen
- Now test to see if the problem remains
Assuming for the m0ment the problem vanishes, start reactivating everything one at a time – testing at each stage to see if the issue has come back. This is a really great way to zero in on any conflicts.
Let me know how you get on!

MemberHi – I’m sorry you’re facing difficulties here.
I get this message if I click on the event title – Sorry but we couldn’t find the page you are looking for.
I think we’re already dealing with pretty much this issue (404s/not being able to load individual event pages) over in this other topic you created so let’s keep that conversation going there.
I am unable to see the cost of my event
So do you mean the cost of the tickets configured for your EDD Tickets? This is only visible (at least by default) on single event pages, so solving the first issue is going to be an important step here.
Does that clarify things at all?
Barry
MemberHi!
I can’t view the URL you shared – looks like a maintenance plugin has been setup – but in the first instance I’d recommend visiting the Permalink Settings screen and hit the save/update button (you don’t need to change anything, though).
Does that help at all?

MemberHi – sorry to hear you are hitting difficulties.
Unfortunately there are still some problems when working with WPML – it’s a complex plugin that does a lot behind the scenes that is outwith our control.
We do plan on spending some time at some future point investigating if there is anything else we can do to help improve things, but at this time I’m afraid we aren’t able to offer a great deal of assistance for problems stemming from WPML.
Barry
MemberThank you – and please do feel free to submit any corrections etc – we’ll be glad to receive them and incorporate them 🙂
Thanks again!
Barry
MemberOK, great – so you’re all sorted here?
