Do also note that we cannot generally offer support here on the forums for older releases such as those – lots of bug fixes have been made since those releases went out and so, if you do hit problems and it’s something that we don’t see in our current stable release, I’m afraid we will not be able to assist.

Sorry for any confusion.
Why is my response marked as “Answered”? This should still be open.
This is an open forum – we don’t want to force people to create an account and login to ask questions here in pre-sales – and a consequence of that is anyone can mark a particular reply as being the answer (after all, there’s no truly reliable means of differentiating between you and any other user unless we make you login first of all).
I can reassure you though it does not mean the thread is “closed” or that you will receive no more support from staff, nor does it mean you feel a given reply is the correct one, just that someone does 🙂
Do I go with Events Pro or WooTickets (or both)? What’s the difference and which will help me to achieve my goal?
That’s a great question: they actually do two quite different things, but both function as extensions of our core plugin (The Events Calendar,which is freely available).
If you are only interested only in ticketing at this time then you don’t need PRO, WooCommerce Tickets will suffice. On the other hand, if you need to take advantage of some PRO features (see the products page for more on what those are) it may be that you’d like both 🙂

ok I bought the add on and downloaded the file. When I go to add new plug in, what do I “choose” to install?
So you should now have a .zip format file with a name like events-calendar-pro-3.7.zip or similar. Your next step is to login to WordPress and navigate to Plugins → Add New. On this page you should, near the top of the screen, see an option to Upload a new plugin:

This brings you to a fairly straightforward screen that will let you upload the above .zip file – go ahead and upload it then select the option to activate it (or return to the main Plugins admin screen and activate from there).

I think that a new version of Headway might be out right now. I used 3.7.8 for this site. It’s a new launch for a charity and I’m not ready to update to WordPress 4.0 and to any new versions of Headway just yet. When Headway comes out with an update, I usually give it a few weeks to let them get the kinks out.
I do appreciate your position here, but it still makes sense from our point of view to test with the latest stable Headway release:
- If I can replicate the problem it will probably have the same cause and solution as with your version of the theme
- If I can’t replicate then I must either be missing some piece of information such as a critical setting and we can try and figure out what that might be, or, the problem may be specific to the version you are using (that being the case we may not be able to do much but at least we’ll know how to resolve it – ie, update the theme)
However, it’s still too early to jump to conclusions and we’ll update you again as soon as we can.
Also, I just noticed another problem… I’m using a plugin called “Custom Facebook Feed Pro.” It’s working perfectly on all other pages of this APK Charities website… except… (drum roll please) the events calendar page … This problem is between Headway and The Events Calendar Pro. Looking forward to hearing back from you.
Please bear in mind we do try hard to stick to one issue per thread.
I sense you feel this is related and it definitely could be: so, just to clarify, there’s no problem when you use Custom Facebook Feed Pro together with The Events Calendar/Events Calendar PRO without Headway (in the context of events pages)?
If so let’s wait and see if any fix for the original issue also resolves this problem. If it doesn’t, or if you think it may actually be a standalone issue, the best course of action would be to break this problem out into a new thread of its own.
