MemberHi!
You can use Filter Bar without Events Calendar PRO (though both work together nicely, too) π
Does that answer your question?
Barry
MemberHi Aimee,
Thanks for contacting us!
Currently this would have to be implemented as a customization – but you’ll be pleased to note we are in the process of building an extension to further help manage this kind of situation π

MemberHi lamode,
Be sure to check the language file contained within The Events Calendar (our core plugin) – which is where this particular string lives π
Does that help?
Barry
MemberI’m afraid we don’t ordinarily accept login credentials and would not normally log into a customer website.
One other thing that could be worth trying, though, is visiting Settings → Permalinks … just visiting this screen causes a set of rules WordPress uses to direct requests to be reconstructed and – occasionally – it helps to resolve this kind of issue.
Can you give that a try?
Barry
MemberThanks! So you have at least one plugin that suggests it has redirect capabilities (“SEO Redirection”) … are you absolutely sure this isn’t implementing a rule that’s getting in the way, here?
Iβd prefer not to do it again as my site is live and I do not like disabling my theme and plugins while it is visible.
I can definitely understand that – but how about this: what if you create a test site and start only with our plugins – before adding anything else can you replicate the problem there, too? The test site can be as simple as a fresh WP installation in a subdirectory within the same hosting account as your live site.
This is a fairly fast and easy way to test wihtout impacting on the live site.
Assuming for the moment you do that and find there’s no problem, can you then begin building up the same stack of plugins and themes as you have on the live site? As you activate these, try creating new chains of recurring events. At any point do these begin to suffer the same symptoms as on your live site?
Thanks!

MemberHi Davin,
The easiest way to tackle this would simply be to use categories: you could have a “Site A” category and a “Site B” category (of course, you would probably use more meaningful names π ).
Beyond that you can certainly use the calendar on a multisite network – but we would ask that you respect the spirit of the license and purchase the appropriate level if you do this, just as you would if you ran the plugin on two completely separate WordPress installations.
Does that clarify things at all?

MemberHi Giovanni,
I’m not too sure I understand.
Do you mean that there is a functional bug or problem with the widget? Or do you mean that you would prefer if as soon as the chosen event starts and the countdown is finished it automatically begins counting down to some other event?
Barry
MemberHi CHM,
Could it be than things have been configured in the Events → Settings → Community screen to block those particular roles from the admin environment? If so, does disabling that restore normal behaviour?
More information on the various settings relating to Community Events can be found here.
Does that help?

MemberHi adriansome1,
I’d love to see a specific example so as to be clear about what you are experiencing, but it’s worth pointing out first of all that each individual ticket is actually a WooCommerce product – so both share the same name.
Does that clarify things at all?

MemberHi Andy,
I’m sorry you are experiencing difficulties.
Can you give me any further background about the events – were they imported from a different installation (via regular WordPress import/export tools), for instance, or did anything on your site change immediately prior to this problem manifesting?
I do also see that you noted having already tried our standard troubleshooting steps, which is appreciated π … can you confirm this didn’t turn up any conflicts?
Unless you have already done so, would you be able to repeat them and – at the point where nothing but our plugins are running alongside a default theme – could you try creating some new recurring events and test to see if any of those newly created events are impacted by this issue?
The reason I ask is that it’s possible there is a conflict which happens at the point events are created. If so, running through our troubleshooting steps may not result in the issue being fixed in respect of events that have already been “damaged”.
Last but not least, could you also post your system information (this can be found in the Events → Help screen), by private reply if you prefer? I’m particularly interested to learn if you are using WordPress SEO or any other plugins with a redirection capability.
Thanks!

MemberHi Markus,
So following a recent change to our terms and conditions I’m afraid we cannot generally accept login credentials to your site, but thanks for offering.
I do see the problem on your site, certainly, I just meant I could not replicate locally when I performed a quick test π
Integration issues with third party components are generally something we need to leave in your hands — though there are times we are happy to explore such issues, realistically, it has to be a plugin with a significant amount of traction amongst our users: in the case of this particular plugin, I’m not sure that is applicable so it may be best to approach the author (of UltimateMembers) for further assistance.
It may be for instance they can pinpoint a specific section of their code that modifies the main query (and if so, they can probably give you code to test temporaily unhooking it, to further help track down the source of the problem).
Is that viable here? If nothing else, if you can work with them to figure out a snippet to stop this problem we can probably help you to make it only apply to event pages π
Barry
MemberWe’re definitely in favour of adding new hooks where it makes sense – and this seems like a good candidate π
Thanks again!

MemberHi Markus,
I’m sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulties.
Just to confirm, is this the plugin you are referring to? If so, I’m not sure I can replicate the problem (though perhaps very specific settings need to be in place).
Is the problem definitely cleared up when you deactivate Ultimte Member? Could switching to a different plugin with similar membership capabilities offer a way forward here?
Barry
MemberI could, but if someone ordered other items in between then it wouldnβt work right?
I think it would still be a workable approach, because you could match product IDs.
It would be great if you could add a do_action(βsomethingβ, $item, $attendee_id); in the foreach. Then developers could do anything when each new ticket is created.
True!
I will add that to our issue tracker – I can’t suggest when exactly it will be implemented (and I’m afraid it will not be in the very next release, which is too far into the development cycle for us to add non-critical items) but I definitely agree this is a straightforward and worthy addition to the plugin π
Barry
MemberHi Joe,
You can export them using the regular WordPress exporter π
Thanks!
