MemberHi Spencer – great question!
There are a few ways you might tackle this.
Generally, the cost is displayed via the tribe_get_cost() template tag and this can be filtered via a hook of the same name – tribe_get_cost – so if you are familiar with using hooks and filters that would definitely provide a means of making this change.
Does that help at all?

MemberHi Carl,
So up above the fields you can see in your screenshot there should be a plain text default province field – is that visible and does that meet your needs here?
Barry
MemberGreat to hear you figured out a solution, screenrage – even if it was slightly awkward. We’ll definitely look into building out better tools for this as more support for this is shown.
Thanks again!
Barry
MemberHi!
I’m afraid that – right now – there are no tools baked into the plugin itself to help with this, but you are certainly welcome to request this as a future feature (or add your support to any suitable existing requests along these lines):
Thanks π

MemberHi danfeely,
Sorry to hear you are hitting difficulties.
When I visit your main events page, the header does appear to shrink – have you since resolved this issue?
I found this when searching ETβs support forums. http://prntscr.com/5xrxol
They said it does not work because it is a custom layout.Hmm, well the highlighted class in that screenshot is prefixed “et-” so I assume is added by Elegant Themes code – and they are in the best place to advise you as to why that is added and when.
If you do still need further help, can I ask that you first of all try editing the default template setting (via the Events → Settings → Display screen)?
Thanks!
Barry
MemberThat is odd!
If you change the default template setting (via the Events → Settings → Display screen) does that help to achieve consistency here?

Barry
MemberI completely sympathize.
What I’m going to do here is assign this topic to my colleague Brook who will work with you to try and find some other means of resolving this that doesn’t require such an arduous approach (but please do note there may be a slight delay beyond our normal response window before he can take this forward).
Thanks for your patience in the meantime π

MemberHi Niall,
I’m sorry this isn’t working for you – but it is actually by design.
I am very annoyed that the list view doesnβt dynamically update to show the current month at the top of the list view
It does update dynamically, it’s just that the criteria is not what you expect or want for your particular use case – however for many of our users this is exactly what they want. If an event is ongoing (ie, it started a few hours or even days ago but hasn’t yet finished) then they do not want it to disappear prematurely.
In general I think this is a reasonable default position – the whole idea is to promote events and draw attention to the fact that they are taking place (and presumably that’s true even in your scenario or you would simply delete the event).
Is there an easy way to achieve this? For example: should I be entering these type of events differently, or simply selection a differet option in settings?
You’d need to customize things a little to achieve this. Can I ask, is it only list view where you would wish to make such a change? Do you still wish for it to appear in month view?

MemberHi Kirstin,
Thanks for your interest!
So The Events Calendar (our free, core plugin) doesn’t itself support recurring even or ticketing/sales, however we have the following rather awesome premium plugins which do add these capabilities:
- Events Calendar PRO
- A range of ticketing plugins which integrate with various popular ecommerce plugins
So what you want is definitely achievable – but I do have to add a caveat that, right now, our ticketing plugins don’t offer complete support for recurring events, though we have plans to improve this in the very near future π
Thanks again for getting in touch and do let me know if I can help you with any other questions!

MemberHi timadams,
Our apologies for the inconvenience, we realize this can be a real pain.
I’m afraid the plugin you’ve already located is the best existing tool for the job and yes, in extreme cases, you may need to run it multiple times to workaround the timeout issues.
Can I ask which versions of our plugins you updated from and to, here?
Barry
MemberHi Carl,
I’m sorry to hear you are facing some difficulties.
This first thing I need to note though is that we try hard to deal with one issue per topic – so let’s deal with the first problem here and then if you can create a fresh topic for the second issue one of the team will be only too happy to help π
I am facing some glitch here, I have set the default country in the setting as Malaysia but in the events page states listing is still of the Unites States, can this be change to states/district from selected countries i.e Malaysia ? or can it be change to a text field where we can manually add the state name and how will this show in Google map ?.
Though you’ve posted in the Events Calendar PRO forum I’m not clear if we’re discussing the Community Events submission form or the regular event editor within the admin environment (or both) – can you confirm?
Would it also be possible to see a screenshot of the issue – though there is currently a bug that means the US state selector will continue to appear even if you have chosen some other country, a text field to provide an alternative, non-US region should also be present.
(Though you cannot upload screenshots here directly, you can upload them to your own WP site/Dropbox or some similar service and share the link here.)
Thanks!

MemberHi Roxzanne,
I’ll be more than happy to point you in the right direction π
Before we get started though, please note that we typically aim to stick to one problem or issue per thread. This just helps to avoid confusion and also helps us to provide timely assistance to all of our users π
For some reason I canβt see the plus/minus buttons on my event page on at this link at the bottom of the page . (Where you buy tickets) http://www.crestadvisoryafrica.com/events/administrative-skills-empowering-middle-management/ .
So the quantity field is actually a “number” type input. It used to be the case that WooCommerce (and it is WooCommerce that is generating that field, rather than our own plugin) provided arrow buttons but, as of their 2.3 release, they decided to avoid this and leave the responsibility for providing that sort of user interface to the browser itself.
It is probably possible to re-implement this yourself if you really feel it’s necessary, but I’m afraid that’s not something we can assist with. Do also note that the official WooCommerce changelog indicates there may be a separate plugin available to help with this – so it could be worth checking in with the WooThemes team for more information about that π
Also the cart button is greyed out. Could you perhaps tell me how to edit this or style this (add the buttons and get the add to cart button to display normal? . Is this a issue with CSS or Javascipt?
An extra piece of CSS should help to improve the contrast, something like this:
.woocommerce.add-to-cart .button { background: black }If your theme has a custom CSS feature you could try adding the above rule in there, otherwise please see our Themer’s Guide for advice on setting up a custom tribe-events.css stylesheet:
theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide
Also how to I add the Months to the top part of the Calendar not he bottom part when people search?http://www.crestadvisoryafrica.com/events/
So this is really a distinct issue – can I ask you to post a fresh topic? One of the team will then be only too happy to assist further.
Thanks!
Barry
MemberHi rtwdave,
That should certainly be possible – but might require a little customization work.
The basic approach I might take in this sort of scenario is to set an action to “listen” for ical requests (and you might also want to listen for some other flag, such as an “unlimited” URL parameter, so as not to interfere with ordinary month view ical exports), then modify the query parameters to extend the date range – so, some knowledge of working with WP_Query objects would definitely be required as a minimum.
Of course, if your site has a truly huge number of events you may still wish to set an absolute limit on the number of results to be returned in order to avoid memory issues.
I hope that gives you some ideas to investigate π
