MemberAnd (also for the benefit of others looking to renew) please see this helpful FAQ entry:
Thanks!
Barry
MemberHi Laura: could you email us ([email protected]) and put something like “License Renewal FAO Leah” in the subject? Leah will be happy to help out.

Member* should have read, so that returned dates/times…
Barry
MemberThanks for your patience.
I’m afraid a substantive fix is a release or two away at best. The problem is multi-faceted and my understanding is that it ultimately stems from the fact that Facebook returns times as if they were Pacific Standard Time: it would be interesting to know if you or another user has approached Facebook and asked about altering this so returned ates/times reflect your own timezone.
Of course, assuming it is always going to be a time returned in PST, our plugin has no way to know if that is deliberate (for a number of users this will be correct by default) or even if you definitely want all times to be corrected using the same adjustment (perhaps you are based in the east but publish events in a variety of different timezones).
So we’re definitely aware of the problem but a final solution that will fit the needs of all our users will not be appearing today or even next week; in all likelihood it is going to be a matter of some months.
This is definitely less-than-ideal but it can be managed manually. Also, for straightforward scenarios where a fixed adjustment (of -3hrs, for example) is required, it may be possible to implement this by clever use of filters and actions – so that’s another avenue you might consider exploring.

MemberI’m not sure if WordPress’s built-in tool will cover everything or not, to be honest. Personally the way I would approach it is to independently back-up the entire database and files.
Barry
MemberNo, we don’t typically work over weekends though you might get lucky – it just depends on the work patterns of individual team members.
I wonβt miss out on any records I will import from the old site?
Not by virtue of not having a license key, no. Of course the important thing is to take a full and complete backup first of all (and to know the process for recovering or restoring that backup).
Hope that helps,
Barry

MemberHi Gavin, that’s definitely possible. If you aren’t already familiar with the concept can you look up our tutorial on template overrides? The specific template we would wish to override in this case is:
events-advanced-list-load-widget-display.php
Within that you will see an HTML div with the class .event – this should be shuffled so it sits above the preceding .when div.
Let me know how you get on!
Barry
MemberHi Chris, sorry to hear this has cropped up – and thanks for taking the time to report it.
I took a look (using the URL you supplied when you opened this thread) but couldn’t immediately identify the problem/where your events are located.
Can you get back to me with a specific URL (or email it to us if you wish it to remain private – [email protected], mark the email for my attention) so I can see this behaviour?
Thanks!
Barry
MemberEvents Calendar PRO (and our other plugins) function even without the license key, so once you’ve set things up on your new host and are good to go simply deactivate on the old installation and reactivate on the new one.
It’s possible you’ll see an error message at that point, if so simply email us ([email protected]) and mark your email for the attention of Leah who will be happy to help out π (best case scenario though is that this will be seamless).

MemberSandro – can you take a look at this post in our documentation – does that help you to achieve what you want?
Barry
MemberExcellent, glad to hear you’re all sorted here. I’ll close this thread now but if there is anything else please just create a new topic or email us. Thanks!

MemberThe thing is that in the world of WordPress it simply isn’t uncommon for minor or even major conflicts to arise between plugins and themes created by different vendors.
Nor is it always clear-cut as to which party is “wrong” – often neither is, it’s just that in some cases certain combinations of plugins and themes require some extra code or other tweaks to make them play nicely. That isn’t necessarily a good reason for either to re-engineer their product, though.
So in this case I don’t really see a need for us to contact Mysitemyway: we won’t be incorporating their suggested fix for the problem because it isn’t the responsibility of our code to pre-emptively clean up after other themes or plugins, but that doesn’t mean you can’t use the fix – after all, it sounds like it works for you – and by making use of template overrides you can do so cleanly in a way that should not be obliterated by future updates.
Barry
MemberHi Kristin, sorry to hear that this has been causing problems for you. Currently there is no fix (beyond what Thomas posted, above) but if you could bear with me I am just checking in with the team to confirm how close (or far away) a substantive fix might be.
November 8, 2012 at 4:24 pm in reply to: use different page template based on grid view or other #27755Barry
MemberHey Cathy,
In your custom ecp-page-template.php template file you could do something like this http://pastebin.com/M2q6jL68 … you would need to be able to identify whichever template within your theme is responsible for rendering full width pages, though.

MemberNo problem, let’s leave this open for a week or so and hopefully we get some feedback in that time π
