The theme I use gives me the option to add CSS per page 🙂 think that will work? Never mind, tested it and it works perfectly!

I am very excited about the new shortcodes. I am in-love with this plugin and since I discovered it have literally “sold” it as a must have on your site to 3 clients already. And the support is amazing *you can quote me on that* 😉

    Looking forward to the update!!

I am trying to find you in the user panel. As what did you register on the page (username or email)? Then I can just increase your rights.

Problem is, this is a university page, so there is no ways in hell that I can have the site down temporarily. They are busy with open days and registrations for next year so can’t shut it down even for a minute.

On the other site we have registered with you on this license (s-leer.co.za) the extra form fields show up with no issues.
This website however (akademia.ac.za) we didn’t build form scratch, we took it over. We’ve always had issues with it, it’s not a specific theme so there’ no place fot theme settings, etc. It’s horrible to work on this, plus is halfway translated into Afrikaans at the back-end, so you will have to navigate with the icons…

The most important thing is the extra ticket fields not showing up. If you can please help with that 1st.

    Thank you.

No worries. I was just asking form your side, but obviously we can’t change the entire wordpress.org structure 🙂
When I 1st did translations on your plugin specifically, I did save them as .af only. On the Locotranslate plugin (do you know it?) it then only made a green block with the letters “af” in it. The moment I renamed it to af_ZA it took the green block away and actually put our country flag in there and changed the name to Afrikaans(South Africa). So technically af_ZA is the correct naming. Not sure why WordPress does only af then. Perhaps it’s simply because that is how the very 1st translators saved it and since Afrikaans is really not such a big group of people doing sites on the web in that Lagrange it never was an issue before. It would just really be easier for future updates if nrom could be picked.

Any way. Thanks for the feedback! still loving your guys’s prompt responses. Not like woocommerce who had no support what so ever for a week and half because of some annual meeting thing and they couldn’t spare one meager support guy to be on stand by in case of emergency, and in that time a another client of ours’ site bombed out with the woocommerce shipping zones. I nearly messaged you guys and asked for help simply because you reply so amazingly 😉

I see what you mean. af is for Afrikaans and ZA is our country code.
    The translations didn’t work until I changed all the af.po and af.mo files to af_ZA. I don’t know why…
On the Locotranslate plugin the wordpress files are also af_ZA.
Maybe just because I renamed it? When I was struggling with this the 1st time I tried so many different hings, I can’t remember if I downloaded it af_ZA or if I renamed it to that.

The last wordpress updated the af_ZA file so I thought that was the core language file.

THANK YOU so much for the coupon! I bought another set of calendar and event tickets 2 weeks ago 🙂

I don’t think so…in the end, it will all depend on if the client goes back after he registered on the site and only then afterwards become a member and then go back to his profile and fill in the number. Then you can write an “if” statement in Woocommerce i think, if that field of the client’s form contains a number then apply the discount/coupon or what ever. But until then we rely on people’s honesty…for now most of the people will be lawyers…not sure if that makes me stress less or more about the honesty factor 🙂

Thanks for all your help. Once again, this plugins’ forum is the most helpful i have ever encountered! Thank you guys! keep up the good work!

That would actually be better…so if the client is not a member, then to buy a membership priced ticket is hidden! That would be fantastic….but…not everyone is members when they register as a site user and can choose to become a member of the movement later on, so even though they then are a member later on, the field would be empty as it was empty when they registered…
You know…why a client never just goes the simple easy standard route is beyond me…always have to be extra difficult..

    Hi Geoff,

    Nice chatting to you again.

No, the shortcodes do not work for what I need to do, and unless my column is like only 1/4 of the row, the calendar inserted with shortcode looks horrible
See shortcode added calendar in full width column here: http://s-leer.co.za/toets/
See shortcode added calendar in a row split into 3/4 & 1/4 here: http://s-leer.co.za/my-profiel/

Same goes for adding the upcoming events in a fill width row vs smaller columns. So having a shortcode to ad the entire calendar (with filter & search options) just like on the /events page would be fantastic.

And while you at it (yes i am asking again)….a shortcode to display the upcoming events in a grid format in 4 or 5 or columns like i wangled it here http://s-leer.co.za/ but this here isn’t looking quite right…you know, come to think of it…if it’s a short code to display upcoming events in your photoview only showing the 1st 4 or 5 upcoming events in a row, that will be perfect. But not limited to widget size.

At the registration process the client will get asked if they are a member, and if so to provide their member ID. This will then be checked manually by my customer against their database, until they have their CRM systems set-up properly and we can then integrate it into the site’s back-end. But until then, there will be a Gravity forms field that has will contain that information. So ideally, since a client HAS to be signed in in order to book an event, it would be great if the required text field on the ticket could automatically populate with what ever info was in the Gravity forms field, if that makes sense?

Thank you so so much for the extensions!! If I need to buy the same plugins for another customer, can i do it on this same account or must I create a new account?

RE the coupons. Haven’t tried that yet. Thus far I have created 2 ticket types, 1 for members where a membership ID is required to continue, and one for non-members…only, now you hope that people are honest because there is now way to 1st check the ID before they can check-out and buy….
Not 100% sure how coupons work.
See, how it currently works is, my customer is a learning centre under the wing of a bigger movement, if a client registers on the page they must say if they are a member of the bigger movement or not. If they are then they get discounts, if they are not then they don’t get discounts, although both of them are registered on the website. So can you assign a coupon to ALWAYS work on specific registered clients on the site, so every time they buy an event ticket the coupon is enforced, instead of my customer having to create coupons for each client for every event.
    Am i making sense?

HA! and done! thank you for all your assistance! Your part I was doing right, it was the WordPress Afrikaans translation itself that was the issue. They chose to rename the file completely different than any other language file, so over the weekend I had a brain fart wondering how the plugin language files and the wordpress languae files communicate with one another, and then it hit me, but wait a minute, the stuf is named wrong so how will it know?! and BOOM.

Just one more thing now, the page name is Upcoming event, the evens translated to afrikaans but not the upcoming. I checked in all the translation files and it is translated to Komende Gebeure but that single word doesn’t want to pull through.
