We love seeing how our customers utilize The Events Calendar products on their websites. This month, we are featuring Bloomsburg Children’s Museum. Their website truly captures the spirit of fun!
Bloomsburg Children’s Museum provides children with learning experiences and they make it fun along the way!
We love their mission:
“We offer unique, sustainable, and dynamic learning opportunities for children of all ages through year-round interactive exhibits, programming, and community outreach.”
Let’s look at their website to see how they incorporate The Events Calendar products.
The homepage
When you get to the homepage, you will see a vibrant color scheme. There are pictures that rotate at the top of the page. The menu items at the top are clear and concise, making it easy to take specific actions on the site.

When you scroll down the page, there is a video, an “about us” section, museum offerings and objectives, latest news, and a form to subscribe to their newsletter. And, of course, they highlight events and have a button that leads visitors to the events calendar. (That’s our favorite part!) This section also features one upcoming event.

In addition to the button on the homepage, you can get to the events calendar by clicking on “calendar” under the “visit” menu item. Let’s explore what features await us on the event page!

The main events page
The default option is to sort their events in a calendar format on the main event page. There is a search bar at the top to search for specific events. An alternative option is to list the events by day.

You can easily search for a specific month by using the drop down menu. You can also change the year.

A convenient feature of the calendar view is that you can see more detailed information by hovering your mouse over the event. So, you get primary details of the event before deciding which event to look into further.

Although you can’t tell from just looking at the website, they’re also utilizing Event Aggregator to easily import events from various sources. With Event Aggregator, you can set up scheduled imports and create one-time imports, effortlessly populating your calendar with events from platforms like Meetup, Eventbrite, iCal, Google Calendar, and more. It is a convenient way to save time and stay organized.
The single events page
After clicking on an event from the calendar, you go to the single events page. The title, date, and time appears at the top of the page. Then, there is a description of the events and an option to add it to your calendar. They specifically mention the price of the event and list out the topics of each day.
The top left of the page gives you an option to go back to the entire calendar view. At the bottom left and right of the page, there are arrows of other events to check out. These features make it easy to take next steps.

You can bring the spirit of joy to your events, too!
We love the energy of this calendar. The Bloomsburg Children’s Museum uses The Events Calendar Pro and Events Aggregator to organize and promote their upcoming events. Making a vibrant event calendar is in reach for you as well!
