    Hi Kelly,
I only did a quick bandaid after I discovered this was not a feature as I had assumed from the description prior to purchasing. I’m not using it now because I think it requires a better solution for multiple attendees.

I suggested that you take over the extension as I don’t want to keep supporting something that I made available freely, don’t use myself and may get broken every time you do an update.

As you are familiar with your own updates it would take less than 30 minutes to fix the extension to provide an interim solution for all the purchasers that assumed individual details would be collected for attendees.

We created the extension for WooTickets and made it available to others at http://buzzwebmedia.com.au/event-bookings-with-wordpress/ to be a very interim solution for collecting individual attendee details. With the update of the Events Calendar & WooTickets however it no longer works.
I believe I’ve seen requests for this feature as far back as last year. If this feature is not coming any time soon, would you be willing to update the extension I provided to be compatible with your latest updates to carry everyone over until you do add this feature?

    Thanks,
    JP

This highlights the difficulty of creating our own hacks to add a feature that is essential to selling multiple tickets and many assumed was part of the plugin as described when purchasing.

If Schalk had installed this on a client site and they had updated the plugin themselves then right now he would be dealing with an upset client trying to explain that they should just ignore any update messages in the future. At this point in time, I would not use WooTickets on a client site where they are taking multiple bookings per purchaser.

Is there any chance that this will be added to WooTickets sooner than later?

    I see from the Roadmap:
“We’re also working on creating unique user specific tickets. Currently each order is associated with one name. We’re working on the ability to attach information about a specific attendee to each ticket.”
If I am reading this correctly you are planning to support the collection of multiple attendee details. I think this is an essential feature and something I was expecting when I purchased back in March.

Do you have a timeframe for this feature? Is there a beta available that we can test now?

    Thanks,

    Hi Barry,

I just realised this went into the Pro version. I have just the standard version installed.

Are multiple venues only supported for the Pro version?

    Thanks.

So we can now collect name, email and phone number through the plugin we did for Wooticket orders (viewable as extra fields when looking at an order). We’ve also just made some changes today so it will show multiple instances where a purchase has been made for multiple tickets https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B9mNgsEsKZGrcFJBcC1ONnFZUVk/edit?usp=drive_web (although each instance shows the same information with details of all attendees).

Any guidance on how we can now show attendee names without having to open each order and also how to export an attendee list? Or better yet, a while back there was mention of adding this into an update of WooTickets, so is there any chance this might be coming soon?

    Thanks.

Thanks Barry. I passed your message onto my developer and he sorted it out. Not sure if it was anything else but part of it was needing to update Wootickets.

The plugin to add name and email fields for multiple attendees to the Woocommerce checkout page can be accessed via http://buzzwebmedia.com.au/event-bookings-with-wordpress/

I’ve had one of my developers add it all into a plugin so the checkout page will have a name and email field for each ticket being purchased. I’ll post a link shortly.

There are workarounds I’m sure but the ideal situation would be if it was all built into WooTickets – maybe even Wootickets Plus so you can charge extra for a more advanced ticketing option.
Adding the fields as described in the Woocommerce tutorial has 2 issues:
    1. You won’t be able to simply generate an attendee list
    2. You need to keep track of any theme modifications in case you change the theme. In the case when someone else is doing modifications for you then you may not be aware of these modifications until you change the theme and all of a sudden things no longer work.

    Thanks Rob.
If it helps to know I did seek out an alternative and pay more for the ability to add the details of extra attendees, so you could look at charging more if you went that way.
The thing about Wootickets that appeals to me is that it does tie into Woocommerce and when the site is also selling products you then have all your sales going through the one shopping cart rather than having events and products acting independently. Through Woocommerce you also have the ability to integrate a lot more payment gateways. This is where Wootickets has value to me over a separate events plugin.
    Thanks.

I still think it does not make sense to not be able to add multiple attendees as part of the Wootickets extension.
The product page should be specific about not being able to generate an attendee list that actually has the names of al attendees – I find it a bit misleading.
I have purchased this extension but had to purchase an alternative because Wootickets cannot generate a proper attendee list.
This should really be a priority to fix.

    Hi,

I assumed by the ability to generate an attendee list that some facility to collect all the names would be there. It seems that a lot of people have a need for this.

Does anyone specifically know how this function can be added? Where there might be a guide?

    Thanks.
