MemberExactly! If you turn on DAY view, it will definitely render the problem obsolete. Our impending fix is one that will allow users with DAY view disabled to also operate error-free.
Thanks again for your patience on this. Sounds like we’re set here, so I’m going to close this thread, but if you need anything else please let us know.

MemberHey Mark. That build still hasn’t been released yet; odd that you saw the 3.0.3 upgrade come through on 8/29, since that was actually released at the start of the month (https://theeventscalendar.com/release-events-3-0-3-events-pro-3-0-5-woocommerce-tickets-3-0-2/). The next batch is on deck to be pushed out this coming week. Thanks for your patience!

MemberThanks for the solution, Andy! That looks like it should do the trick nicely for Gavin here.
Gavin: you raise a good point as to the fact that this should be built-in functionality. You’re admittedly one of the first folks I’ve seen request it – but if you raise it over at our UserVoice page (http://tribe.uservoice.com) it would definitely be helpful. Other users who see value in ideas can vote them up there, and we’ll ultimately be using the most popular ideas to guide our development roadmap!

MemberHas it already been disabled 🙂 ?

MemberExcellent to hear this got you sorted, evhs! Thanks for confirming as much. Going to close this thread for now but if you need anything else, just give us a shout.
Rob
MemberIt will be in an impending maintenance release; I don’t want to commit to anything until the code is zipped and shipped, but I’d be very surprised if you didn’t have a fix in the codebase releasing this coming week.

MemberHey sweetlid. Thanks for the follow-up; if you would, that sure would be solid for helping us try to diagnose and get a resolution!

MemberHey desertreview. We can definitely try to help you out here; but mind posting a new thread, rather than chiming into this existing one? It’d be the best course of action for us to serve you in as timely a fashion as possible. Thanks!

MemberAh, excellent to hear you got this sorted csamaras! Thanks for confirming as much. Sounds like you’re set and I’m going to mark your answer as such, but let us know if we can do anything else down the road.

MemberHey again Robin. Thanks for confirming; I totally understand your position and this is a big one for us. I can’t promise anything but I’d be shocked if it didn’t make it into the subsequent maintenance build after this one is out the door.
Let me know if you need anything else here. Going to close the thread for now though 🙂

MemberHey man! Any chance you can turn the Tribe Search bar back on, so we can check out the original problem in action? I have a dev here ready to take a look but it seems today the settings have been changed and the problem is hidden as a result. Let us know!

MemberHey again Robin! So I had our developer Jessica get a fresh set of eyes on this, and she was able to identify the source of our problem very quickly (thanks in large part due to the backtrace you’d added to Dropbox…thanks!).
The culprit looks to be a bug related to the “Sticky in Calendar View” checkbox. It appears you have checked that on all of the Early Worship events, and when you break the event out to be it’s own event, having that box checked causes our code to save the event as sticky at the same time that it’s saving it as a standalone event, which causes an infinite loop. To verify we tried unchecking that box and then saving an event on its own, and it didn’t cause any trouble.
I’ve got this logged in the system now; while it’s too late to fit into the impending release we’re shipping over the next week, it’ll likely make the following build from there (though I cannot guarantee anything). We realize this is a big priority and I see indeed another thread on the same problem; so you should know it’ll be prioritized accordingly on our end. Until then it might be worth holding off on using the sticky functionality if possible though.
Thanks again for all your feedback and patience so far. If you have other questions I can answer here, let me know.

MemberThanks for confirming, brigten. Totally understandable but it sounds like you are sorted for now. Correct me if I’m wrong there.
Kevvygp: appreciate the heads up. We indeed do have a number of reports related to problems with NextGen Gallery, and it sounds like from talking to other plugin devs out there, the last update on NextGen’s side might have caused some issues impacting functionality beyond just our calendar plugin.
Looks like you guys both found a workaround, though, so I’m going to close this for now. If issues persist please open fresh threads so we can get you sorted in as timely a fashion as possible. Thanks.

MemberHey there thindes57. Thanks for the report here; this is indeed a known bug in the system at the moment which we’re working to get patched for an impending maintenance release very soon. Thanks for your patience as we work through it and know that relief is on the way.
