You said that “we do have it on deck to be fixed in the forthcoming monthly maintenance release, which will be out in the coming weeks”. I assume you’re referring to 3.0.3 released 2013-8-29? I have updated to that version and the issue is still happening.

Hey Mark. That build still hasn’t been released yet; odd that you saw the 3.0.3 upgrade come through on 8/29, since that was actually released at the start of the month (https://theeventscalendar.com/release-events-3-0-3-events-pro-3-0-5-woocommerce-tickets-3-0-2/). The next batch is on deck to be pushed out this coming week. Thanks for your patience!
