ParticipantHi Cliff,
thanks for retesting! You did it the right way! 🙂
And it also show the issue – please have a look in the screenshot.
It imports the country of the venue, but uses the English translation (“Switzerland”), not the German one (“Schweiz”).This means afterwards when approving the event in the WordPress backend the country doesn’t show up in the dropdown menu (“Land”), because there can’t be a match made between “Switzerland” and “Schweiz” (see attached screenshot from backend).
I hope this explanation makes this tricky issue more understandable 😉

ParticipantHi Barry!
thanks for the super fast reply!
The code works to input HTML in the custom field, but unfortunately the HTML is not executed in the frontend – see screenshot.

ParticipantHi Cliff,
if you try to import from an English source system (Facebook) to an English target system (WordPress) obviously everything should work fine 😉
Can you set your WordPress settings to German and try again, please?
Then you should see the issue.Best regards,
OliverOliver
ParticipantHi Courtney,
thanks for the fast reply!
Your are completely right – it was the translation that misled me (maybe I translated it that bad, haha) – it works! And I changed the translation already 😉

ParticipantHi Cliff,
here are some example link to event Facebook sites that you can test it. They are regularly adding new events.
https://www.facebook.com/KaufleutenKultur
https://www.facebook.com/hafenhalle
https://www.facebook.com/jazzundduennele/eventsAnd I have to correct myself:
not the country of the event is wrong, it’s the country of the venue.Best regards,

ParticipantHi Cliff,
I don’t know how the Facebook API and the logic of the Event Aggregator works, but I would recommend to use the language setting of the Facebook event.
Examples:
– There is a German website. Import events from Facebook in another language than German should be unusual. Events are mapped 1:1 from German to German.– There is a multi-lingual website. Imports from Facebook events in different languages can happen, e.g. import 10 events in German for the German part of the website and 5 in English for the English part of the website. Events should be mapped from n source languages to n target languages.
Does this make sense?
Best regards

ParticipantI’m with Hans that having the categories as checkboxes as well would be a good idea.
We have only four categories, therefore the checkoboxes are more clearly than the new solution.Maybe you can integrate this as an extension? (https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions)

ParticipantI could solve the issue. We use Ultimate Member for registration, login, etc.
In the settings of UM was the URL redirect method set to a wrong option. After changing it it works nowJuly 2, 2017 at 3:18 am in reply to: Issues in the event submit form: 24h format and currency symbol missing #1315227Oliver
ParticipantThe link above leads only to the download of the one extension. I can’t see any other extensions.
(To be honest you made me curious if there are more interesting and useful extensions 😉
