Hi Jaime,
nice to meet you! Are you new in the team?
I’m a professional software developer and working with TEC for several years already. I contributed a lot to make the product better. I’m also responsible for the German translation of your plugins 😉
I know this is a kind of customising, but maybe one of your colleagues from the development team can give me a little hint.
Question 2 I could solve meanwhile by myself 🙂
Therefore let me rephrase my first question (I guess above it was to late to describe it clear enough):Under the URL http://www.domain.com/event/<name_of_even> (e.g. https://www.treffpunkt-jazz.de/event/jazz-macht-spazz-mit-boogie-connection/) the “regular view” of the event will be shown in the browser. What is displayed there belongs to the view customized in “single-event.php”.
This view I want to duplicate (e.g. single-event-app.php”), customize it that it looks great on an iPhone (“responsive”) and view it in the iPhone browser.
Now the question is: what’s the URL for showing this new view?

did you had the chance to get this issue fixed?
In the latest version of TEC it’s still there.Regards,

sometime I think I live in another matrix:
I installed the latest version of the TEC plugin yesterday on our test system and retested the issue. Today I looked in the test system and there was another NEW version of the plugin!
After installing this latest version the translation works! Thanks a lot for fixing it! 🙂 🙂 🙂

We are not updating to the latest version, as there are no relevant bugs fixed or features included.
Therefore I lay back and wait for another update where the translations will work again 😉Regards,
OliverNovember 9, 2017 at 9:43 am in reply to: Event Aggregator: Event country imported from Facebook in wrong language #2 #1379191OliverParticipantWell, from my point of view it is definitely a bug, because the import via Facebook in a foreign language clearly doesn’t work…
Can you name me the file(s) where this import is done? Then I can I have a look by myself and maybe find a solution faster … It creates just to much effort for us to manually update all the imported events … we can’t wait another 6 months, sorry… :-/

thanks for the fast answer!
I had a look at the Facebook documentation. It says that language can be “selected” by adding the “locale”, e.g. like described here:
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/24799608/how-to-get-localized-values-from-facebook-open-graph-api-through-koalaAssuming that e.g. a German website only imports German events and a Spanish website only imports Spanish events, you read out the “locale” of the WordPress settings and hand it over to the Facebook API:
https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/get_localeWould this make sense?

I there a (rough) timeline for solving this issue?
Regards,
OliverOliverParticipantHi Barry,
thanks for the answer.
We have a lot of visits on the website (several thousands every month), therefore I think the issue is not related to the WordPress cron. But the documentation is helpful, thanks!
Nevertheless meanwhile the import works much better (90% are successful). I guess one of the latest plugin updates solved it. Therefore I close this ticket.
Best regards,
