MemberOliver, that’s what the extension I provided is for. Did you deactivate it?

ParticipantSorry, this was a misunderstanding. I thought you will implement it in the new version π
I installed it and it works! π
Questions:
a) How can I translate it to German? (as a workaround I changed the text directly in the source code. Is this ok?)
b) Will you implement it in a later version of the Events Community Plugin?June 30, 2017 at 7:03 am #1314273Oliver
Participantc) How can I set a standard currency (e.g. β¬)?

MemberThis will be an Extension. These fields were removed from the Community Events form to streamline it, especially for most people who do not use these fields or wanted to remove them. To be clear, no, this functionality will not be released in Community Events; it will stay as an extension so that those who want it can activate it and those who do not want it won’t have anything to deactivate.
At this time, our practice is to make all extensions’ strings use the ‘tribe-extension’ text domain. I’m not a translations expert like yourself, but I think you can target that to make your own translations without modifying the plugin’s code.
To set a default, please go to this extension’s settings and set the default (which can only be done after the list of allowed symbols is first saved).

ParticipantThanks Cliff! That answers all my questions! π
Is there an overview site with all extensions available at Modern Tribe?

MemberThat’s what I linked to in my last reply. Once this extension is officially released (likely sometime in July), it’ll also be published in that list of extensions I linked to.
Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions on this topic.

ParticipantThe link above leads only to the download of the one extension. I can’t see any other extensions.
(To be honest you made me curious if there are more interesting and useful extensions π

MemberSorry for any confusion. The link I was referring to isΒ https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/, where all of them are available.
Extensions are basically code snippets wrapped into an easy-to-install plugin wrapper… but some are more complex/feature-rich than a snippet you might have found in our forums or Knowledgebase.
Hopefully you like them! (Personal note: I don’t think they’re all named as descriptively as they could be so be sure to read each’s description.)

ParticipantThanks for the link! That’s great, because we use Divi as well and the extension solves another problem π

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!

MemberHi again, Oliver.
This extension finally got released atΒ https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/community-events-cost-currency-symbol/
Its code is different than the version you were running from earlier in this forum thread. I encourage you to delete that version and start fresh with this new one.
If you have any feedback about it, please open a new, separate thread about it.
Thanks for your part in getting this released for everyone!
