MemberHey Withard,
Thanks for following up on this!
As I understand this, I will have to exclude the specific dates for each recurring event.
Yes! Your idea to exclude from a category sounds like something nice to have, your are welcome to suggest that feature in The Events Calendar user voice page . There’s the place where we collect feature requests and ideas from our community.
Regarding the SQL code it looks good, but we don’t actually do support on the pre-sales forum. You might want to give that a try and then open a new thread (in the premium forums if you hold a license or in the .org forums if you don’t) if you have specific doubts about it.
But I guess (hope) you have a function for this?
Not sure what you are expecting of the function. Please let me know about this.

MemberHey @designoneweb,
I’ve checked with the team on the WP-Engine cache config but the best will be to contact their support team on this an ask them to disable all cache related to The Events Calendar plugins if possible. Please reach out to them and let me know if this is possible,
Best,

MemberHey Mark,
Thanks for reaching out to us! Of course I cannot predict the future as you say but I can help you understand why we increased the plugin cost over the past year – both to renewing users and new customers. That’s because we’ve been putting a lot more development into the plugin over the past few months than we had in the months / years beforehand. We’re on a release cycle that has us pushing out code on a near-monthly basis, and are just around the corner from releasing our next major release (version 4.0). As we’ve built a bigger team and started doing more intense development in faster release cycles, the operating costs associated with managing/supporting the plugin have admittedly become higher than where they were before. In order to continue to keep our existing plugins competitive, to deliver awesome support + to add new plugins to our suite (keep an eye out for a new tickets framework plugin and our Community Tickets add-on over the coming weeks!), we’ve unfortunately found it necessary to increase license costs for customers. We try to offset this for existing users by offering them a discounted rate on renewal (30% off), and if anyone ever tells us that the license cost is truly a hardship for them to come by, we’re always able to find a way to get them the plugin regardless.
TL,DR: I’m not aware of any plans regarding raising the plugin cost in the near future. And yes, we provide a 30% off for renewals!
Please let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with,
Best,
NicoPS: if at any point I discover the secret I’ll be glad to send you some lottery numbers for sure

MemberHi there @dgpixel,
Thanks for reaching put to us!
Hopefully we have a translations site where you can submit your translations! Please take a look at these articles describing the process of doing so: Translating The Events Calendar and Translating the premium plugins.
Please let me know if you still have doubts on this,

MemberHola Antonio,
Saludos,
NicoNico

MemberHey Keith,
Thanks for confirming this and glad to see we are getting some evidence on a test site!
Can you please send me the details on a private reply? I guess the dev team will be interested in taking a look into the database, if you could send a db dump by email to support at this domain I’d appreciate.
Thanks again for going the extra mile with these tests,

MemberHola Antonio,

MemberHi there Whittard,
Thanks for reaching out and for you interest in Events Calendar PRO!
Recurring event, every week, Friday, shop open from 9:00 till 18:00, except on hollidays
Regarding this questions, yes it’s possible to add exclusion rules per event. You can exclude particular dates like ‘December 25th’ or more complex patterns.
Also is it possible to show in a widget if the shop is open or closed (…). During this time a (single line) widget showing [We are open for business] else [Sorry we are closed]
Well, I guess this custom behaviour requires a bit of coding on your side. We actually don’t have a widget that does exactly what you describe. If you are willing to code a bit we can point you in the right direction.
Please let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with,
Best,
