Nathan BaldwinParticipant
so, I did deactivate the plugin and worked as expected. The issue is that the site is kind of built around Piklist (like ACF) and can’t remain deactivated.
Nathan BaldwinParticipantSo I have Piklist on the site and probably related to https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/500-error-after-updating-recurring-events/ https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/500-error-after-updating-events/

Ask us about our WordPress Site Maintenance Referral Program.Nathan BaldwinParticipantI did temporailiy use the ‘hack’ to make it work.
foreach ( array( 'rules', 'exclusions' ) as $rule_type ) { foreach ( $recurrence_meta[ $rule_type ] as &$recurrence ) { if(is_string($recurrence)) $recurrence = unserialize($recurrence); // I added this line, which fixes the problem $rule = Tribe__Events__Pro__Recurrence__Series_Rules_Factory::instance()->build_from( $recurrence, $rule_type );

All I know is that duplicate registrations for RSVP events continue to happen. I know it is not because a use hits the button multiple times, so something is happening to make a rsvp record many times.

January 30, 2017 at 6:48 am in reply to: Seeing Duplicate Attendees who have registered via RSVP #1226109Nathan BaldwinParticipantCliff, I am hoping this will work, I am seeing many many duplicates for RSVP events in the backend and the end client is having to manage this. If they have 33 spots and half of them or more are duplicates it really cuts into their sales (they use a punish card system for the RSVP’s).
Nathan BaldwinParticipantGeorge, I dont see any errors as I traverse the site or register for an event, but my log file keeps on filling up. Any additional thoughts?
Nathan BaldwinParticipant1. yeah only in my logs, does not appear in the front end.
2. Not that I am aware of, but trying to track down issue with a cart problem, probably not realtedJanuary 16, 2017 at 7:38 pm in reply to: Seeing Duplicate Attendees who have registered via RSVP #1219394Nathan BaldwinParticipantHey Cliff the attendee information doesn’t seem to be saving in the backend still. Can you please send me the direct link to make sure I am pasting the right info? Thank you so much.
January 12, 2017 at 7:11 am in reply to: Seeing Duplicate Attendees who have registered via RSVP #1217372Nathan BaldwinParticipantCliff, first of all, thanks so much, this has probably been the best support I have received here.
Second of all, I think we are close. I attempted to use both snippets and both have the same results. While the button and/or the forms click protected, the form actually does not add the person registered to the attendee list. Please view screen grab.
January 11, 2017 at 9:57 am in reply to: Seeing Duplicate Attendees who have registered via RSVP #1216745Nathan BaldwinParticipantCliff, thanks for the response. Here is a screenshot of an event I can see this is happening. https://www.screencast.com/t/llqZRYySlsTC.
I am not 100% sure you snippets would solve the issue. I think the issue is partly because the site seems to be a bit slow and the user has the ability to click on the button multiple times. http://www.screencast.com/t/K0uJZArUQQi7
Can we prevent duplicate rsvp’s? Or can the there be some sort of visual confirmation that the system is processing or can the button not be able to click more than once?
September 26, 2016 at 6:51 am in reply to: RSVP's getting multiple registrations for same person #1168697Nathan BaldwinParticipantNo, same event. One person looks like thousands, the multiple other RSVP users dozens to hundreds.
September 23, 2016 at 7:01 am in reply to: RSVP's getting multiple registrations for same person #1167884Nathan BaldwinParticipantit was not a bot, it was a person who had register RSVP for other events and Client knows who they are. There were also others that displayed other users multiple times as well, while there were a total of 9000+ RSVP’s it came from many different registrars,
I have no since deleted that specific event as it caused high memory usage every time someone tried to view attendees.
