ParticipantCourtney, Thanks for your help. I’ll try what you suggested with the filter.
FYI; It seems you cannot replace this file in the child-theme. However, there is another template file which is also called tickets.php which formats the ticket table on the page the Buy Now button takes you to. It is this file which can be overidden in the location you describe.

ParticipantI am not surprised you are confused 🙂 It seems that your support system strips out html.
I have taken some screen shots with descriptions. Please see them attached.

ParticipantThanks Andras, That’s all I needed. I’ve allowed the tickets to be displayed then excluded them from the shop with code.

ParticipantThanks Courtney,
Where do I place the modified copy of this file in my child theme to override it once I have made changes?
I have tried several options but cannot make it pick up my changes. I have followed the suggestions in the themers guide. Most of the template files give an indication at the top of the file but this one does not.
Can it be over-ridden in the child theme?

ParticipantUnfortunately, that does not work either.
February 7, 2018 at 8:56 am in reply to: Buy Now button disappears if regular price field is blank in WooCommerce product #1446495Matt
ParticipantI have found that if I save the WooCommerce product and then open ticket under the Event and save again without doing anything to it the button reappears on the front end.

ParticipantBrendan,
I have tried putting the modified template in my_child_theme/event-tickets/src/template-tags/tickets.php as you suggested but it get’s ignored.
Could you please give me the path in the form my_child_theme/XXX/yyy/zzz etc. where I need to put the file for it to be implemented.

ParticipantI am only asking if you can point me to where in your plugin files this scrolling action takes place. I am happy to work out what is needed to modifying it.
Can you at least do that?

ParticipantNo change I’m afraid. I still get the message “Heavens to Murgatroid”.
Interestingly I also get a 502 Bad Gateway when I click on the link to the post in your message which I didn’t get before. If I copy the link and paste it into a browser it works.

ParticipantBrendan, That works, thank you.
However, if I want to make any other changes where am I supposed to put the modified template file for event-tickets/src/template-tags/tickets.php in my child theme. Unlike most templates where instructions are given at the top of the file as to what location to place the file, event-tickets/src/template-tags/tickets.php doesn’t say.

Thank you for your help. Uncanny Owl have managed to resolve the conflict.
February 1, 2018 at 12:54 am in reply to: How can I change the "Buy Now!" button to "Book Now!" #1441388Matt
ParticipantYes, and that works but I do not want to change the original file because it will obviously get overwritten each time I upgrade to a new version.
I am asking where I should put the edited file in my child theme for the plugin to pick up the change.
