ParticipantI am using Canvas as a theme which I believe is pretty popular. Unfortunately I am relatively new to wordpress manipulation so I have difficulty in reading the code.
However, I have established that the sidebar information is appearing on my “single event” page but it is appearing at the bottom of the page as part of the main display rather than at the side.
I am using exactly the same sidebar call for the month.php but it is not appearing at all.
Are you able to help with getting the sidebar to appear in the right place ? and any ideas as to why it appears in single event and not month view ?
Matt
ParticipantI’ve done that and no the sidebar still doesn’t show. However, it is obviously picking up the modified php files as I now have “Hello!!” displayed on the page and that is coming from the modification I added as a test.

ParticipantBrian, Yes I have already tried that and whilst the sidebar appears I lose the filter bar, the options for it just appear as text at the top of the page. I also lose the list of events and the option to change to view by month.
I then just have a “more….” link which when pressed shows only one event.

ParticipantI have added the events calendar widget to the right sidebar and specified “0” events in the list but it still shows all the events. Is this a bug ?

ParticipantNo unfortunately !important doesn’t work either, very strange. Just to clarify I have the calendar widget in the sidebar. I have managed to change the background color for the present day (today) as shown above so the reference you have given me seems appropriate.
Interestingly when I refresh the page today’s date momentarily comes up as white text (which is what I am trying to get) but quickly gets replaced by the default grey when the full formatting of the calendar get put in place.

ParticipantThanks but I already tried that and it doesn’t change the color.

ParticipantGeoff, Again what you have given me will style the date number on days when there are events. I am trying to style the date number on the present day i.e. today.

ParticipantGeoff, Thanks for that. I have had to modify it slightly as your code only applies to days where there is an event. see here;
.tribe-mini-calendar td.tribe-events-present {
background-color: #569FD2;
color: #ffffff;
}You will see I have also tried to set the text to white but whilst the background color changes the text does not. Do you know why ?
When I use inspect element the CSS for this element doesn’t show up so I can’t work out the references to use.

ParticipantI have temporarily switched the category filter from autocomplete to dropdown and that does indeed clear the problem. I can work with that for the time being. But I would be grateful if you can let me know when the autocomplete issue is fixed.
