No that was not helpful to me. What I would like it the information from the links in the post here:ttps://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/search-all-months-when-click-on-category-in-month-view/

This is the exact info that I am looking for.

Alrighty then, I invested a chunk of time to debug this situation. I narrowed it down to my header.php file. Replaced header.php with default header.php from twenty fourteen (which I knew worked), cut and pasted in my few pieces that were custom from my theme header.php. Works now, great! However, I still have no idea what exactly was cuasing the problem haha. Oh well, who cares, it is working now and I am moving on.

K I have removed all anything slider things so as not to conflict or cause errors. But… still the popups are not working. Can you take a look now and see if anything else looks suspicious.

Nope, I had already tried that, but tried it again just in case. I left it without the script so you can see.
    Any other ideas?

I tried this fix and it worked great. Any word on when the 3.3 release is coming out? A few weeks or more like months?

Hi fguijarrob, I did not remove any pro files. I just deactivated pro. Then I deleted all files for event calendar base through ftp, then up uploaded the new 3.2 for base – again with ftp. Then logged into admin and base said 3.2 as it should and then I reactivated pro.

And yes, like Barry said, backups for sure!

K, I know I am not supposed to do this but… I went into the plugin core code and changed it to use has_archives true & also changed the single event slug to be singular. My breadcrumbs is now working. I will have to redo this code each time I update the plugin but that is fine :o( I will check back every once in a blue moon to see if you guys have implemented has_archive.

Hello! First, I am not a tribe support person, so that is my disclaimer. That being said I have recently experienced both of these issues and have just solved them myself so I might as well share. See the following thread for details and my solutions, you will need to be familiar with wordpress coding though…

404 on upcoming listing with no events, fixed with code inserted into my function.php file:

No Upcoming Events List view gives 404 error

I had this same issue with updating pro to 3.2, but the base event plugin would not notice the 3.2 update. I ended up having to deactivate pro 3.2 and then manually (through ftp) delete base 3.1 and upload base 3.2, then reactivate pro 3.2:

Can’t see update for base Events Calendar 3.2

I solved it using a modified version of this code into my functions.php file: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/webmaster-tools-flooded-with-404s/#post-55397
I just changes the eventDisplay option from “month” to “upcoming” and it removed the 404.

K, I just updated manually with the files for base and then reactivate pro and I was all set. Didn’t lose any settings so that is good. Manual update was a pain though.

I have even tried deleting the pro folder directly through ftp and did “check again” for base and still no good. I did not want to use the “delete” function from the plugin because I did not want to lose my pro settings data.

What about deleting the base 3.1 files through ftp, then just download 3.2 direct from wordpress plugin area and then upload 3.2 files to the pro folder. Will this work or have their been database updates as well?

Hi. So I am looking around (I am actually having a few different problems with this even plugin at the moment). Anyhow, I see on the community forums on wordpress there is another user who is having this exact same problem as I am, see here: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/category-pages-break-if-there-are-no-upcoming-events-in-v32

Since there is another user with the same problem I would prefer not to disable all plugins and my theme if possible. Can you just ask the developers to see if they can recreate this problem on their base theme/plugin setup? It seems maybe it is an issue with the plugin.

Still no go. Should I delete the pro and then see if I can upgrade the base then? Will I lose my pro settings?

Hi Barry, I am trying to update to 3.2 to see if this problem is fixed but I can’t seem to get it to recognize there is an update. I opened a ticket here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/cant-see-update-for-base-events-calendar-3-2/
I will post back once I get the update working, hopefully this got fixed in the 3.2 release.
