Digging through the code I see that I can use “category”, I use it like this:
the_widget(‘TribeEventsAdvancedListWidget’,’category=11′);
Which works.

Is there a doc that specifies these settings for future reference?

To clarify further, if I “move to trash” from the full events list then it does ask me this question. However if I go into the actual event and edit time or location whatever and publish, then it does not ask me this question.
