JamesParticipant
Okay I think it is cleared up… weird. Perhaps the overwriting of an event that ahs been updated would be a good feature
JamesParticipantOkay so I did make one change and that change did not sync. I did not think it was supposed too. Is this correct? Otherwise it is not duplicating the sync.
JamesParticipantThe event I created is actually not a test event but a real event. You can see it on our FB fan page here is the link
https://www.facebook.com/events/880390501996878/
It has not replicated yet.
JamesParticipantActually going through the calendar I see then duplicating way through June. So I am going to delete the duplicates and then create one test event. and watch what happens. If I do not see any duplication say in a few hours I will make one change and watch what happens.
JamesParticipant1.Do you notice that all of your events are duplicating on import?
I have not added any since I noticed it.
2.or is it happening from a single Facebook page?
We only sync with a single facebook page
3.Are you in control of the pages where you’re importing events from?
Yes
4.If so, do the events go through multiple rounds of revision, getting minor updates after the original event has been posted? Generally no I did not know you could revise them. If you do will it update them?5.Have you tried disabling the other Facebook related plugins on your site temporarily such as any sharing plugins or autopublish plugins? Yes but this si not the issue it worked fin until the recent update on your side I believe.
JamesParticipantFYI this I believed occurred through the facebook import plugin and may have happened with Facebook stopped their FanPAge RSS service the other day.

WordPress timezoneAmerica/Chicagoserver timezoneUTCJamesParticipantI am having the same issue. It is duplicating 4 or 5 times. this seems to occur just since the update. THe site is linncountygop.org and you can see on the events page how there are multiple events on the same day. These are all pulling over from the Facebook Plugin.
Please let me know what to do to remedy this?
I have left them up for you to see but let me know when I can delete them?
JamesParticipantNot sure what you mean by your response. I had to trash the extra events as I could not have 10 of each on the calendar without people complaining, which they did. All stemmed from Facebook showing our FB account as the organizer. No data had changed on them. However the two events I entered in yesterday since you most recent update have yet to duplicate.
JamesParticipantGeoff My plug in is working. I did a few things that may help. Do you have any other auto importing or backup occurring? I had Postie for post to email and I changed it to trigger manually then created a remote cron to trigger it. I also created a cron to trigger the wp-cron.php every 15 minutes as this only triggers when there is traffic. By doing this from what I have read I ensure the importer and other cron jobs run as scheduled.
I updated the FB importer tot he latest yesterday and reentered all my settings including the newer FB App ID and it started working well.

And the error has gone away once I removed it fro the settings and added it backSorry no screen shot
You can close this as it seems to be resolved.
April 22, 2015 at 7:21 am in reply to: Facebook API Error: Unsupported get request. Please read the Graph API documenta #957344JamesParticipantWell Like I added to the thread is I removed the FB page to connect to and re added it and wam it removed the error.
April 22, 2015 at 7:12 am in reply to: Import catagories, Tags, ticket link and correct website #957337JamesParticipantPerhaps you can add to The Events Calendar Settings>Default Content the option of adding a default category or tags. Maybe the ability to import the or add to the event the event link itself?
April 22, 2015 at 6:13 am in reply to: Facebook API Error: Unsupported get request. Please read the Graph API documenta #957318JamesParticipantI removed the one FB page to acquire events from and saved, re-added it and checked error went away for the moment.
JamesParticipantI am having the same issue. Eventually it did import an event. However it is sporadic and I am being told it is my environment but I tested on other environments with the same results.
Please keep me apprised of the solutions. I’d love the ability to call upon a script, php file or something to trigger myself automatically through my creating a cron job other then the wp-cron. This would be a great solution.
JamesParticipantOkay still think there should be a way to call a specific php file to trigger the import. I can easily create a cron job to call such a file if I knew which on and what to call. I will open other threads for the other items.
