Hi Hunter,
Yes, I only see one event, as I mentioned in my post above. Yes, I reverted back to a default theme. Isn’t that in the system info I posted?
Regards,
KeithKeithParticipantHi Nico,
I deleted the imported and the associated events and set it up again. In the preview, it found the events to be imported. When I ran the import, it didn’t import anything. The “Total imported column #” shows “1”. When I click that, it tells me that there are no records found.
When you ran it, did it actually perform the import? Does the import produce any kind of log, so that I can see what is happening?
Regards,
KeithKeithParticipantHi Hunter,
I was aware of the manual import option. The thread from last year that I linked to mentioned that you were looking to add automatic import as a feature. I was interested to know if you’ve made, or are likely to make, any progress on adding that feature.

I’m getting no venue at all. The feed is at the bottom of the page where it says “subscribe to this calendar using ical” webcal://www.meetup.com/Conversacion-Ingles-Sevilla/events/ical/4182690/5afd2470a988956afbb81910eaa81e4bce0232df/Language+Exchange+and+English+Conversation++in+Seville%21/

Thanks for that. I’ll give it a try.

KeithKeithParticipantHi Josh,
I would have liked to help out but I don’t currently have a license for Events Tickets Plus. It’s something I’m looking at, and if I did get a license I would want to use split payments, hence my interest in this thread.

KeithKeithParticipantHi Nico,
Thanks for that. The code is working. The reason for my doubt was that that parameter, EventURL, is not mentioned on the documentation page for tribe_create_event.

KeithKeithParticipantHi Cliff,
I have been through that article. I set up WPML according to its recommendations. Here’s the requested screen shot.
This is a problem specific to the embedded Google map. The rest of the interface – the sidebars, the menus etc – are appearing in Spanish. That makes me think that it’s not a problem related to the WPML site-wide settings, rather it’s something more specific to the embedded map. I wondered if it might be something to do with with the way it is called, whether it needs to be passed a country code, or whether the call needs to be to maps.es, something along those lines.

I did look at the CSS option, but unfortunately there is no specific class or id. That means I would be getting in “nth child” type selections, and the n could change depending on what other fields were displayed for any given event.
I realise that you don’t support customisations. I thought it was worth asking in case there was a straightforward answer. The default WordPress Custom fields don’t show up on the front end unless you specifically add code to show them. That made me think that there must be some code in TEC that is specifically designed to display the Additional Fields (i.e. the TEC version of WP custom fields), and that it might be possible to modify that code to disable the display of a specific Additional Field.
Anyway, I’m looking into adding a filter. I’ll see where I get with that.

KeithKeithParticipantKeithParticipantHi Cliff,
I have my admin language set to English, so all of my interface is in English, and I imagine that will cause the drop-down to appear in English, but I’m actually editing the Spanish version of the event. Screenshot.
Regards,
KeithKeithParticipantIf the event url is stored as meta, I guess I need to put it in the meta_input array meta_input .
KeithParticipantHi Nico,
Thanks for the response. I can give that a try. Just confirm, I can pass _EventURL as an argument to tribe_create_event, and it will accept it as the url for the event. I don’t see any mention of it in the docs.

March 14, 2016 at 6:56 am in reply to: Plugin WPML with String Translation activated messes up recurring events. #1088397KeithParticipantTo avoid confusion when you view the website, I want to mention that you’ll see what might appear to be two occurrences of the same event. These are actually two separate events that I’ve had to set up to get the event to appear twice.
You’ll also notice that one pop-up appears in English, and one in Spanish, despite both events being created exactly the same way with the same settings.
