ParticipantI can’t give you an exact date, but I do think it should be available in that time frame.

ParticipantIt’s part of the bug report and we’ll try to get them both squashed.

ParticipantHi natalievinke,
It seemed to work for me on my local install to simply add the HTML with the link to the blog post to title of the event. Have you tried that?

ParticipantThanks for the update Jennwren. We don’t claim to be the perfect solution for every situation. I’m glad you found something that will work for you. Thanks for checking us out!

ParticipantI’m sorry I called you Peter!
I don’t copy and paste, but I do use a scratch pad that I obviously didn’t clear well enough.
So hello, John,
1) You will be able to filter on categories, tags, venues, cost, day, and time of day (e.g., morning, evening).
2) No, we do not import from Google calendar.
3) I’ve never heard of anyone using that setup, so I can’t say if it would or wouldn’t work. You may want to ask the folks over at WooSensei what they might think about it too.

December 16, 2013 at 5:10 pm in reply to: Can't use WPEngines staging because we don't have a second install… #82013Julie Kuehl
ParticipantSo sorry this isn’t working smoothly for you. We’ve got two things happening here, so let’s sort them out. First is that you disconnected and moved the license key. Second, you deployed to the live environment. My gut says the problem isn’t the license key, but something with the deployment, but let’s check it out.
So my first question is, does the widget still work on the staging site like you want it to? And is the license connected to either site at this point?

ParticipantWell buggers. It seems odd that number of records should cause a problem, but there it is. Given that constraint, could you break the CSV file apart and import it in sections, maybe 100 at at time?

ParticipantHi Peter,
I know you asked for a point-by-point reply, but there are some general things that will answer most of your questions.
All the ticketing add-ons require that you have The Events Calendar installed, so yes they work together. However, running multiple ticketing add-ons at the same time can cause problems. I suggest that you choose one. Unless you’re already hooked up with Eventbrite, WooCommerce sounds like it might be more flexible to meet your needs.
Our Filter Bar add-on has not been released, but you will be able to filter on categories, tags, venues, cost, day, and time of day (e.g., morning, evening). And there’s the search bar to look for specific class.
The calendar has an add-on to import events from Facebook, but that is it. There is a new CSV importer if you wanted to export from another place and bring events in that way. And your recurrence with differing start times is not something the plugin is currently set up to do.
Our plugin adds a calendar to display events in WordPress and the ticketing add-ons simply connect third-party e-commerce solutions to those events. From what you’ve described your needs as, I don’t think we’re going to be a good fit for you.

ParticipantHi Peter,
We offer the best sort of discount to non-profits: free! As long as you meet the criteria, we should be able to set you up. All you’ll need to do is make the request by email. You can find the details here: https://theeventscalendar.com/non-profits/

ParticipantGuillermo,
I really appreciate your concern. Thanks for that. But it’s good with us. We may come up with a different solution one day that would prohibit this, but for now, rest easy.

ParticipantHi Jenwren,
It is *possible* to do two different calendars based on categories (or some other filter), but that is not something the plugin does out of the box. That would take some customization, a service we don’t provide. However we do provide documentation to help you do that if you want to take it on. Between our Themer’s Guide (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/) and Documentation (http://docs.tri.be/) the information you’d need to do that should be there.
Also, we are working on a Filters Bar add-on that will allow for people to select the, let’s say, category to display in the calendar. It’s not available yet, but we’re working on getting it ready for an upcoming release. You can check that out at https://theeventscalendar.com/filter-bar-a-video-preview/ I don’t know if that would be a workable alternative for you if you didn’t want to go the customization route.
