Multiple calendars

Hi,
I’m thinking about using your calendar plugin, and was wondering if it is possible to have two different calendars on two different pages of the same site, with categories filtering which events go into each calendar.
Please let me know if this is possible.

Hi Jenwren,

It is *possible* to do two different calendars based on categories (or some other filter), but that is not something the plugin does out of the box. That would take some customization, a service we don’t provide. However we do provide documentation to help you do that if you want to take it on. Between our Themer’s Guide (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/) and Documentation (http://docs.tri.be/) the information you’d need to do that should be there.

Also, we are working on a Filters Bar add-on that will allow for people to select the, let’s say, category to display in the calendar. It’s not available yet, but we’re working on getting it ready for an upcoming release. You can check that out at https://theeventscalendar.com/filter-bar-a-video-preview/ I don’t know if that would be a workable alternative for you if you didn’t want to go the customization route.

Hi Julie,
Thanks for responding. I found another calendar plugin that offers what I need straight out of the box (My Calendar), so I’m going that route. I’ll check in again when looking for another calendar with different requirements in future.
