ParticipantHi Javier,
Hah! I certainly know what an “in-progress” website looks like. 😀
Have you tried disabling all the other plugins and switching the theme to the default Twenty Twelve? Does doing any of that make a difference?

ParticipantHi Javier,
Our plugins are not currently set up for QR or bar codes, but it’s a great idea. It’s been suggested several times over at our Feature Ideas page (https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/3759344-qr-code-or-bar-code-on-tickets-that-can-be-scanned). You’re invited to add your votes to the feature as well.
The thread over there mentioned Event Espresso. Have you checked that out?

ParticipantHi Emmanuelle,
Gah! You’re right. I have Filter Bar on the brain. Filters are a completely different thing.
The list of functions can be found over at http://docs.tri.be/Events-Calendar/ and this snippet will help you get today’s events http://pastebin.com/9BhbUm7R Something similar should work for a category. http://docs.tri.be/Events-Calendar/function-tribe_event_in_category.html
Does that get you headed in the right direction?

ParticipantHi Dan,
The events are essentially a custom post type and handled as such in the database. There is one record in the posts table, but many in the posts meta table.

ParticipantHi Aurelien,
The map that is displayed comes from Google, so I don’t believe that they allow any modification of their icons. We are working on developing a Filter Bar though that could allow for filtering what is displayed on the map. Not exactly what you’ve described though.
As far as links to external booking websites, that is something that should be no problem at all. It could easily be added in the event description. And there’s a specific spot to add a weblink for the event, so that seems a likely candidate too.
Does that answer your questions?

ParticipantHi Lehel,
The plugin is not currently capable of filtering by a date range. It doesn’t make a lot of sense on the other views, but you do bring up an interesting idea on the map view. And due to the current Google Maps API, it’s not possible to filter just by state. It requires a “city, state” format. And I tested the idea of just having the title of an event be an external link, and no that doesn’t work the way you’d expect.
So It doesn’t sound like our plugin is a good match if you’re looking for these features.

ParticipantHi Xavier,
I’m not quite sure what is happening on your site. Could you provide a link so I can take a look? But if you want to see the widgets in action over at our demo site: http://wpshindig.com/event-widgets/ There are examples of what they normally look like.

ParticipantHey Jeff,
Images in empty days is not something the plugin is designed to do. At all. I think it would be really hard to customize for too. But I never say impossible! But it would be a challenge.

ParticipantHi Isobel,
I’m not quite sure what’s going on, but since it’s an all day event, can you verify the start time of your days? Under Events > Settings if you scroll about halfway down there’s an option for “End of day cutoff”. What is yours set at? And then under the regular WordPress Settings > General, can you tell me what Timezone you have chosen?
Let’s start there and see if we can figure it out.

ParticipantHi Emmanuelle,
This would certainly be possible with some customization. You can find out more in our Themer’s Guide (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/) and Documentation (http://docs.tri.be/) about what it might take to do that.
But we are also working on a Filters Bar that would allow visitors to filter on a number of criteria, including categories. You can see more about that at https://theeventscalendar.com/filter-bar-a-video-preview/. It’s not quite ready, but we hope to make it available soon.

ParticipantWouldn’t something like this work in this situation? http://d.pr/i/jb5j Or on the front end: http://d.pr/i/l5Mu I do see that there could be some risk of people being confused by that. Perhaps the WooCommerce folks would have an idea?

ParticipantThat is something that the plugin does not do currently, but it is something on our radar for addressing. If you’d like to add your vote, head over to our Feature Ideas page (https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas) and find the idea that is closest to your own and give it some love.

ParticipantHello Jeff (from pretty near Canada myself),
Our calendar does not include colors, BUT a trusted user has developed a separate plugin that will color events by category. You can check it out on the WordPress.org repository (http://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar-category-colors/)
And as far as adding advertising to the bottom of the calendar, I think all you’d have to do is customize the calendar page template to add in your code, or possibly a widget area for a plugin. But it would be modifying the plugin code, so we can’t provide much support for you there other than to point you to the Themer’s Guide (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/) where you’ll find the relevant information.
Does that answer your questions?

ParticipantI understand Paolo, but we made a decision a while back to not use PayPal any longer. We use the highly respected Stripe gateway, but it’s your choice whether or not you’re comfortable with that.
