GuestHey there!
Maybe this has been answered already? I am checking out your calendar and am very impressed!!!! I am wondering what the visual options are for the pro version…colours etc? Also can you add say advertising to the bottom of the calendar? Make sense?I am about to launch a soccer news website and would want to add sponsors to the bottom of the calendar….
Thanks for your time and keep up the great work!…Oh and greets from Canada!

ParticipantHello Jeff (from pretty near Canada myself),
Our calendar does not include colors, BUT a trusted user has developed a separate plugin that will color events by category. You can check it out on the WordPress.org repository (http://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar-category-colors/)
And as far as adding advertising to the bottom of the calendar, I think all you’d have to do is customize the calendar page template to add in your code, or possibly a widget area for a plugin. But it would be modifying the plugin code, so we can’t provide much support for you there other than to point you to the Themer’s Guide (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-themers-guide/) where you’ll find the relevant information.
Does that answer your questions?

GuestThanks for the response!
Yes it does!
I guess I have some reading to do!
What about putting images in the empty days?
For example….
Say the month starts on a Tuesday….so the Monday would not exist…and an advertiser wanted to “buy” that empty space? Like an “old school” paper calendar….make sense? And the same with the end squares that are empty…
Hope that makes sense!
Jeff…just north of Toronto…too much snow already!

ParticipantHey Jeff,
Images in empty days is not something the plugin is designed to do. At all. I think it would be really hard to customize for too. But I never say impossible! But it would be a challenge.

(just south of Winnipeg…it’s not the snow, it’s the cold!)December 19, 2013 at 6:28 pm #82968Jeff Hamilton
GuestHmmm that’s what I thought!
Can I ask you something else? I have the non pro version on my site and the events I have put in seem to have the same posting title showing up when clicked on…weird?
Here is the link: http://insoccer.ca/events/2014-01/
Any ideas?
Thx……never been to Winnipeg…sounds colder than here!

ParticipantHey Jeff,
With regards to your question, we do unfortunately have to limit the actual support we provide here to paying customers. We do offer limited support on the WordPress.org forum (http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/the-events-calendar). May I ask that you head over there to ask?
