event appearing twice in calendar view

Hi there – hope you can help me again!!
I have an event which appears twice although it is only in once.

This only happens in the main calendar view, the weekly list, day views are fine?!?!?!
The event is called: “Candlemass Sunday – Joint Liturgy with the Old Catholics on the second February” has been entered for the 2nd Feb but insists on appearing the day before too … not sure what has happened.

I have tried deleting it and reentering it but still it is there …. most strange??? Hope you can help.

Hi Isobel,

I’m not quite sure what’s going on, but since it’s an all day event, can you verify the start time of your days? Under Events > Settings if you scroll about halfway down there’s an option for “End of day cutoff”. What is yours set at? And then under the regular WordPress Settings > General, can you tell me what Timezone you have chosen?

Let’s start there and see if we can figure it out.

Hi Julie
You are brilliant – I took off the all day event check box and just had the times 8 – 5 and lo and behold there is only one entry now … so it must have been something to do with the all day time settings.
Looking under Event Calendar the End of day cut off is 7am and we are UTC+1 on our wordpress setting for hours to match Italy. I changed the end of day cut off to be 7am as that seemed to set the daily view to start at a good time. One of our events is 11pm – 12:30 am but other than that most our in a sociable time zone.
