Josh
ParticipantHey Ryan,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
To clarify, when creating your event the end date option disappears as soon as you try to add some sort of recurrence rule to the event? https://cloudup.com/cdfb6-EgeSz
A couple of quick suggestions:
- Can you verify that you’re on the latest versions of both The Events Calendar (3.12.3) and The Events Calendar PRO (3.12.1)?
- Have you tried following the Testing for Conflicts procedures to ensure that there isn’t a conflict with an existing theme or plugin?
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Hayuta,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
Could you give us more information about what you’re experiencing? Also, could you provide us a link to where the calendar is in use and experiencing the issues you’re describing?
I’ve found http://www.goodlifeacademy.net/calendar/ but that doesn’t appear to be our calendar being used on the site.
Thanks!

That’s definitely a terrible problem to be having. Unfortunately due to our support terms we’re unable to accept login credentials for your website. Would you be able to give us more detail about what is preventing the creation of events? Is there a warning being generated? Are you able to create them but they don’t display?
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Katherine,
Thanks for reaching out to us and bringing this to our attention! A quick question on this one, is this occurring on both the datepickers in the admin as well as the ones on the front-end of the site. The search area above the month view of the calendar for example.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Linda,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
The simplest way to address this may be through a CSS solution. Within your theme or child theme’s stylesheet you can add:
.tribe-venue-widget-venue-name { display:none; }That should remove the title for you. Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

I apologize for the disappointment with the custom views for events. Flexibility with the views is something that we’re currently working on improving. One of the steps has been to create some shortcodes for some of the features. You can find out more about those here. Also, if you’ve created a custom template, have you tried using the Default Template setting within the Event Settings > Display tab to utilize a custom template?
The linking to event details via a lightbox is an interesting idea. Unfortunately that is a customization that is beyond what we’re able to provide in support here.
For the tickets, when creating a ticket for an event the ticket should automatically show up on the single view of the event like this https://cloudup.com/c2AL_LbOazh. Usually, when this isn’t occurring it is due to a start or end sale date being set on the ticket which falls outside of the current time period. You can check those settings to make sure that isn’t what’s preventing the display of the tickets. You can also leave those settings blank.
If that doesn’t work, you may need to try the Testing for Conflicts procedures to ensure there isn’t a conflict occurring with another plugin or theme.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
I apologize for any inconvenience that you’ve experienced in using our plugins. Would you mind sending links to the feeds that you’re trying to import so we can do some tests of the feeds?
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Keith,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
I just tested this on the latest version of the plugin but wasn’t able to replicate the issue that you’re describing. To confirm, here are the settings that I’m using for the recurrence https://cloudup.com/c71W_hDFiu3. Is this the same that you’re using?
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Brian,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
We do have that specific element hardcoded, however we are running that section through a filter prior to outputting. So, you could use the “tribe_events_eb_iframe_html” filter to filter the entire iFrame code to have it display anyway that you would like including increasing the height.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Mats,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
A couple of quick notes:
- You should delete the last line of the snippet. This is most likely what is outputting the “Array” since that is the expected return from a “get_the_terms()” function call
- Where do you currently have this code added? For which view are you wanting the category to be displayed for?
Thanks!
October 4, 2015 at 8:44 pm in reply to: Cannot browse or search events unless logged in as an admin #1011316Josh
ParticipantHey Pat,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
I did some quick tests but was unable to replicate the issue you’re describing. It sounds like there could be a javascript issue at play here. You mentioned that you disabled all plugins did you happen to also switch to a default WordPress theme (Twenty Fourteen for example) to see if the issue persists?
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
October 4, 2015 at 8:39 pm in reply to: Can event activities show up as separate points on map on SINGLE EVENT page? #1011314Josh
ParticipantHey,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
There are several factors to this one. First, you’d have to determine how you were managing the activities from a WordPress admin perspective. You would need some sort of fields to collect the activity details such as the activity name and location.
You would then have to follow the Themer’s Guide and work with the Google Maps API to generate new map which pulls the addresses from the custom meta from above to create your map.
I’m sorry I’m unable to give you a direct response on this one. Hopefully this will help to get you pointed in the right direction though.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
October 4, 2015 at 8:35 pm in reply to: Why aren't WooCommerce Ticket Options Showing up on events #1011311Josh
ParticipantHey Brandon,
Below the main event settings when creating an event, there should be a metabox that looks like https://cloudup.com/cI9CNBmu5r2 where you can manage the tickets for the event. Are you not seeing that box?
Also, you can set up any number of payment gateways that you would like. WooCommerce has many plugins available depending on the type of account you would like to set up. http://www.woothemes.com/product-category/woocommerce-extensions/payment-gateways/
Let me know if this helps.

October 4, 2015 at 8:29 pm in reply to: iCal Importer not importing Recurring events from Google Calendar #1011309Josh
ParticipantHey Kenneth,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
To clarify, when importing from an ICS file, recurring events are getting completely ignored? Their not even created a first instance of the event without the recurrence?
Would you be able to link me to the file so I could do some tests locally on the existing file?
Thanks!
