    Hi Michelle,

I would need to see the code for your full width template in order to troubleshoot. Can you please post to http://snippi.com/ and share here?

    Thanks,

    Hi granatdesign,

No, unfortunately we do not have an option you can check to turn this off. You will need to modify the template files. Let me know if you’d like any more info on this.

    Hi bartolorex,

How are you adding category images? Category images aren’t available by default in our plugin or in WordPress so I’m curious how you are adding these?

    Hi azpower,

Sorry to hear about the troubles here. It sounds like it could be a plugin or theme conflict. Can you please try deactivating all other plugins and/or reverting to the default WordPress theme to see if this changes anything?

    Hey Robb,

You’re welcome. To answer your questions:

    1. You may be able to auto update but in general it will more likely require a manual update.
    2. It’s possible to revert back but we don’t have any automated process for this. My suggestion would be to make a full backup of your sites files and db before updating to be able to revert back to that.

I hope that answers your questions, but let me know if you have any others.

    Hi Ryan,

Our developer was able to take a look at your setup and could not detect anything specific that would be causing these issues. Unfortunately at this time there is not much more we can do to help troubleshoot things. We do have a new release of the Facebook plugin coming out alongside our 3.0 release which may resolve these issues for you. Once that is released we’d like you to try upgrading and see if that fixes things and then report back here with the results.

If you have any questions, please let us know.

    Regards,
    Jonah

    Hey jessebrede,

I just tested Tim’s code update with this event (https://www.facebook.com/events/137246133122585/) and it imported the full sized image. Can you please test out the code too with some older events to see if it fixes the issue and report back here?

    Thanks,
    Jonah

Thanks jessebrede, one of our developers is going to take a look at the code in the next couple days and hopefully have sometime more concrete by next week. Keep an eye out here or in the Gist for an update.

    Hi Sandro,

I understand now. This would be fairly difficult to do unless you’ve got some decent PHP skills and you may need to actually hack the plugin to get things working the way you want, mapping the custom field data from the venue/organizer for the events being imported. We wouldn’t really be able to help you much with this since it’s going to require customization and some hacking to get it working.

I hope that answers your question, but let me know if you have any others.

    Hi Steve,

Yes, you need to activate the plugin to change the slug. If you want to provide me FTP and wp-admin access to your site I’ll see what I can do about removing the older version of jQuery, but no guarantees it won’t break other things. Unfortunately sometimes theme integration is more involved and requires ongoing maintenance. You can post those access details privately here. I can also take a look at removing the other Events.

    Thanks,
    Jonah

    Hi Erik,

Can you please try increasing the amount of PHP memory allocated by using one of the following techniques: http://www.dailyblogging.org/wordpress/increase-wordpress-memory-limit/

    Hi Sandro,

With the Facebook Events plugin, you can either manually import events from a page one at a time or multiples or auto import events on a Hourly, Twice Daily, Daily or Weekly basis and all new events will automatically be imported at one of those intervals, whatever you have set. To setup importing, you simply either have to input the page ID to be able to select multiple events to import or run auto imports, or you can also manually import individual events by retrieving their event ID from Facebook. Does that answer your questions there?

On the custom fields I’m not quite sure what you are asking. Are you saying you have custom fields you’ve setup at Facebook that you’d like to have imported into WordPress? If so, you would likely need to modify the plugin to accomodate this. We grab all the standard event data like title, description/content, start/end date, venue, organizer, and featured image. Any other information that you want to pull you would need to figure out how to do on your own.

I hope that answers all your questions but let me know if you have any others.

    Hi Erik,

What type of server is it on GoDaddy – Linux or Windows? Are you getting a specific error message?

    Hi Steve,

Usually jQuery is not included in a folder in the theme, it is loaded dynamically in one of the theme files. Viewing the source of your website, I can see that jQuery 1.5.1 is being loaded so this is definitely out of date and should be updated. I suggest contacting the theme author to get help with this if you cannot figure it out. I’m actually noticing the slider on the home page works for me just fine though.

If your theme uses an “Events” page you should either delete this or change your “Events URL slug” to something different than the slug of your themes page in Events > Settings > General.

I hope that helps but let me know if you have any questions.

    Hi calebingersoll,

Unfortunately at this time the only template tags we have available are listed here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation-eventbrite-tickets/eventbrite-template-tags/ – if you want to pull in other data for events you could try hooking into the Eventbrite API which you can read up on here: http://developer.eventbrite.com/doc/

I hope that helps but let me know if you have any questions.
