    Hi Brook,
I was not able to determine what would have caused that one exception, but in any case updating the plugin has resolved the issue. Thank you.

    YES! Thank you.
Any idea what implications this might have for when I upgrade Events Calendar in the future? I realize that may not be predictable.
This code is in a child theme.

I have added this code, and it partly works – the right side of the slider is displaying the excerpts, but the rotating featured image is not displaying. I then de-activated the calendar again to make sure that this was not being caused by another plugin. which it is not. Both the calendar plugin and the slider are very important to this site, so I hope there will be a solution that resolves this part of the problem. Thank you, Gordon

    Hi Jonah,
The strange thing is that prior to the recent upgrade of events calendar, this worked. My theme is WP-Bold from Solostream, and I use the Custom Sidebars plugin. I make extensive use of this on the site (as you can see), and I had been able to select a specific sidebar every time I made a calendar entry (I can still select a sidebar, but it has no effect). Since I choose the same sidebar for all calendar entries, I’d be content with a solution that set a default. I’d be happy to set you up as a user if you want to explore. And I don’t mind paying for a little custom work if it is a solution that will remain intact over future upgrades. From other entries in the support forum, it seems like this would be a very good feature to be able to include.

    Thank you,
    Gordon

    Home

I see that the new release allows me to tag events as “featured”, however when I tag them they are not being displayed in the featured content slider at the top of the home page. I experimented with disabling some of the other featured content, since the slider only allows for the top five to be viewed, but it still did not show up. Any suggestions?

Thank you. I was able to upgrade via the plugin control panel and that solved the problem – tickets are now visible. I do have one more question:
I first started out using Events Calendar, and then got Pro. I see that I still have Events Calendar (non pro) activated as a plugin. Should I retain that, or does Events Calendar Pro completely replace that.

This is illuminating. In fact, my plugin panel is showing that I am running 2.012 of Woo Commerce, and Woo Tickets is 1.0. This seems strange since (a) I just recently got these and (b) there is no prompt (as there usually is) that there is an updated plugin available. So this is probably the problem. Can I update these from the plugin panel, or do I need to download them and then unzip them into the plugins?

    Thank you,

    Gordon

Thank you – your code snippets produced the desired result for removing the “related events” and “previous next”.
For the tickets, they are still not showing.
I tried setting a start sale date (I never had one to begin with). I also tried adding a new ticket to the event. No result. I am not seeing an option to include an attachement here, so I have uploaded a screenshot:
    http://monadnockcenter.org/documents/ticketscreenshot.pdf
The things that mystify me (and may be helpful for you), are that:
I didn’t update Woo Tickets, just the Events Calendar Pro and Woo Commerce. I do understand that they are connected. And – this had actually been working fine prior to the update (and also the aforementioned “see related links” and the “previous, next” links were not there before. So, something in updating these plugins has resulted in all this.

Finally, thank you so much for excellent support, and I look forward to the rest of this getting resolved soon.

This is issue is resolved – I had checked the Sandbox function, which was causing the problem.
