ParticipantI just upgraded my plugins, which created some other issues that have since been resolved. However, tickets are no longer visible on the front end. They still show up in the back end. An event for which I had ticket sales is at:
You can see that ticket purchase is not an option.
Additionally, at the bottom, there is a display of “Related Events” and then “previous” and “next” events, which didn’t used to be there before (and which I don’t want).
Thank you for your anticipated advice.

MemberHi Gordon,
Regarding the related events can you refer to the second post in this thread which contains instructions to remove those?
For the previous and next event links, could you try adding this snippet of code to your theme functions.php file – that should remove them.
Last but perhaps most importantly, would you be able to share a screenshot of your ticket settings or if it’s easier enumerate them here? It could also be worth making a minor change such as setting the start sale date back one day and resaving.

ParticipantThank you – your code snippets produced the desired result for removing the “related events” and “previous next”.
For the tickets, they are still not showing.
I tried setting a start sale date (I never had one to begin with). I also tried adding a new ticket to the event. No result. I am not seeing an option to include an attachement here, so I have uploaded a screenshot:

The things that mystify me (and may be helpful for you), are that:
I didn’t update Woo Tickets, just the Events Calendar Pro and Woo Commerce. I do understand that they are connected. And – this had actually been working fine prior to the update (and also the aforementioned “see related links” and the “previous, next” links were not there before. So, something in updating these plugins has resulted in all this.Finally, thank you so much for excellent support, and I look forward to the rest of this getting resolved soon.

MemberHi Gordon – the fact that Events Calendar PRO and WooTickets are out of synch is probably the important thing here.
They will not work properly (and if you visit the plugin management page you should, ideally, see “nag” messages to this effect) unless they are all upgraded to the relevant latest versions. So right now, for instance, an up-to-date set of our plugins might look like:
* The Events Calendar 3.0
* WooTickets 3.0
* Events Calendar PRO 3.0.1I’m afraid other combinations – particularly where one of more of the above are still 1.x or 2.x releases – will not mesh very nicely.
Does that help?

ParticipantThis is illuminating. In fact, my plugin panel is showing that I am running 2.012 of Woo Commerce, and Woo Tickets is 1.0. This seems strange since (a) I just recently got these and (b) there is no prompt (as there usually is) that there is an updated plugin available. So this is probably the problem. Can I update these from the plugin panel, or do I need to download them and then unzip them into the plugins?
Thank you,
Gordon

MemberYou should – ideally – be able to update from the plugin panel. If that isn’t happening then you may need to download them afresh and update manually.
Before you do that though you could also try visiting Dashboard > Updates (as this can trigger an extra check for available updates) and/or check that your licences are indeed still in place and valid.
Again if that doesn’t help though I’m afraid the best and fastest course of action would be to handle it manually – and please accept our apologies for the inconvenience if so as you ought not to have to do that.

ParticipantThank you. I was able to upgrade via the plugin control panel and that solved the problem – tickets are now visible. I do have one more question:
I first started out using Events Calendar, and then got Pro. I see that I still have Events Calendar (non pro) activated as a plugin. Should I retain that, or does Events Calendar Pro completely replace that.Gordon

MemberGreat 🙂
So regarding your other question, all of our event plugins basically build on top of The Events Calendar – which essentially underpins everything.
In short, you need to keep it activated and up-to-date – WooTickets, Events Calendar PRO, Eventbrite Tickets and Facebook Importer all require it in order to work.

ParticipantNot seeing tickets on events pages or listings either since upgrading WooTickets, and Calendar/Calendar PRO.
I am getting this error message: “To begin using WooTickets, please install the latest version of WooCommerce.” I do have the latest version, though. Here’s the list:
* WooCommerce 2.0.12
* The Events Calendar 3.0
* Events Calendar PRO 3.0.1
* WooTickets 3.0Any suggestions?

MemberIs WooCommerce activated, in addition to being installed?
July 12, 2013 at 10:25 am #54766callanwolde
ParticipantYes, WooCommerce is activated, since the option on the plugin is to deactivate.

MemberAre you still able to create/edit tickets in the event editor?
July 12, 2013 at 7:30 pm #54968callanwolde
ParticipantNone of the ticketing features/functionality show in the events editor.

MemberOK, that’s a bit puzzling. If possible, let’s run through our basic troubleshooting steps:
* Please deactivate all plugins except for The Events Calendar, WooTickets, WooCommerce and Events Calendar PRO
* Please switch to a default, unmodified theme such as Twenty Twelve
* Now test to see if the problems remain
* If the problem is resolved, reactivate each component one-at-a-time, testing at each stage to see if they have returnedIf the problem does come back, take note of whichever component – be it your theme or a plugin – was last activated: there is likely to be a conflict with this item and if we can identify it then we can look at further options.
